2. Doi Inthanon
Located in Chiang Mai Province, Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand, rising 2,565 meters above sea level. Doi Inthanon National Park has lots of amazing variations in its lush geography and forest. It is home to rainforest, mixed forest, and pine forest. The weather is cool throughout the year, especially in the cool season when there will be almost constant fog coverage all day and a stunning phenomenon of Mae Kha Ning or frost flower in the early morning.
3. Phra Maha Dhatu Naphamethinidon and Naphaphonphumisiri Pagoda
Phra Maha Dhatu Nabha Metaneedol and Phra Maha Dhatu Nabhapol Bhumisiri Pagodas were built by the Thai Royal Airforce and Thai Citizens. The purpose of Phra Maha Dhatu Nabha Metaneedol was to build in the honor of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 50th birthday in 1987 and Phra Maha Dhatu Nabhapol Bhumisiri builds in the honor of Queen Sirikit 50th birthday in 1995. Both places can see the unobstructed beautiful views of Doi Inthanon After visiting the pagodas you will visit the Hmong Market where you can buy local products such as fresh fruits, flowers, etc. then you will have lunch before the trekking activity.
4. Pha Dok Seaw Waterfall
Trek along the beautiful Phak Dok Seaw trail with a local guide. See local wildlife, plants, and rice terrace along the way. Relax at Pha Dok Seaw Waterfall (The route can be changed to Kew Mae Pan or other routes depending on weather and government's announcement.)
5. Ban Mae Klang Luang
Visit a hill tribe village, Ban Mae Klang Luang. Get in touch with local people. Try various kinds of coffee that growth and roasted locally.

Learning about the elephants, feeding them and bathing them were among the highlights of the trip. We missed out on the track due to the weather, but overall the trip was extremely memorable.

i really enjoyed the tour even though we had bad weather and could not see any view. we did a lot in 1 day and the elephants were definitely the highlight. the sanctuary is one of the more ethical ones around chiang mai but i don’t know if i would do it again… it felt right and the guides were good as well :) i wish the group was a little smaller and we were 3 vans and unfortunately i ended up in another group than my friend who booked the same. oh the nature trail was beautiful as well! it was all a little tight timed but that makes sense. if you wanna see everything in one day that’s your tour. i prefer taking my time for every sight.

Meeting the Elephants on the hillside at the sanctuary camp. No riding is aloud. You get to interact with them at feeding time and if they want to bathe you can join them in the water. Activities are elephant led if they don’t want to join in they can go of away and they are not forsed into stuff. They all look happy well fed and in good condition. Fantastic informative English speaking guide Wan was incredible communicative informative. Really made the day. It rained like mad but we were well informed and prepared, Hike with a tribal guide and tour guide. Driver was great skilled on mountain roads. One of the Best days. We had an incredible day. I wanted a trip that my young kids (11 and 12) would remember. So far, I think this tour has been their favorite. From the elephant sanctuary to Doi Inthanon, to trekking, everything was a hit! I felt very good about this truly being an ethical sanctuary. There is no riding of the elephants, and the tour is limited to one time a day. Their explanation about the history of the elephants and also how they are cared for felt very genuine. The caretakers were sweet to the elephants too. The elephants seemed very happy to have us feed them.

At Doi Inthanon- we had foggy weather, cool weather. We didn’t get to enjoy the views but we certainly explored a lot!

The trekking totally exceeded our expectations too. Fabulous views, and amazing view into village life. It was absolutely awesome!!!

The only negative for us was that the roads were winding and there were a few people getting car sick. Expect to spend sometime in a van from place to place. So, I would consider taking some motion sickness medication or at least bringing it along. The other thing to consider is taking extra snacks for kids. By the end of the trek, they were hungry.

Overall, my kids rated this experience an 11-12 out of 10!

Had an awesome time on this tour. Rainbow was an excellent guide, very enthusiastic and engaged with the group. The highlight was definitely feeding the elephants and watching them run around. It's a full day but definitely worth it.
