Our Night Sky Star Safari is a comprehensive stargazing activity for all. Including a meal at an authentic Canarian restaurant on our way up the mountain and also stopping for an amazing sunset from above the Sea of Clouds, our activity is your introduction to the night sky, stars and the Universe. It includes the guided use of telescopes for night sky observation of visible planets, the Moon, stars, galaxies & more. Join us as we take a safari trek across the night sky with our lasers using constellations and detailed explanations of the science and mythology by expert astronomy guides. While in Tenerife, these astronomy tours are an ideal excursion for holiday makers, taking advantage of Tenerife being one of the best locations in the world for both professional and amateur astronomy. Bus drive from pick up to the restaurant was way too long - 1 1/2 hrs. We were the third group on and the second to the last group off - ride back took 11/4 hrs back in Los Cristianos at 115am.
The dinner was one of the poorest offerings I have ever encountered on a tour and it’s an abomination and sacrilege to call the meal a local typical Tenerife dining experience.
The sunset was great (it’s really hard to mess that up!). The stargazing experience was ok - speakers knew their stuff and tried hard! Equipment/telescopes were tops. But there were just too many on the tour at least 50 - maybe more, so a lot of time was spent waiting for a turn to look in the scopes. The fact that we could see so many stars in the sky made it nice.
Best things - sunset, starry sky, no charge for some photos
Biggest miss - long bus ride (for us), poor food and wine, way too big of a group!
I think they made a lot of money for the evening.
Suggestion- rent a car and drive up the mountain after a nice meal on your own at a good restaurant, watch sunset then look at stars. Dress warmly and bring a blanket to sit or lie on. Drive back and be home by MN. If you don’t want to drive, hire a cab for the evening then you can bring a bottle of wine. Sunsets and stars are free!

Not for those who find it difficult standing for long periods. Pick up point was changed so involved a walk. Great knowledge. Most aspects including food good. However, large groups. Felt like we were herded.

Simply putting just WOW
What an experience.
Myself my wife and son 17 really enjoyed it and some.
From pick up to drop off was great.
Food was good and you get a couple of drinks.
To see the sunset was truly amazing then to gaze at the stars through the telescope was a Wowmazing experience.
Kieran and the crew kept us engaged with little bits of trivia.
The knowledge Kieran and the crew have regarding the universe out there is amazing.
The numbers that we were hearing was just mind blowing.
It’s a must if you have little or a lot of interest in sunset the stars or the universe for that matter.
Also they send you the photos of the tour via WhatsApp
They don’t charge extra like all the other excursions to maximise profit which is a great touch.
Will be back and will do this again 💯 %

It was a lovely experience. We got the full thing; the food on the way was okay and filling, the sunset was wonderful and the night sky exploring was very informative. Was very wowed by the moon close up via telescope, but the best part of the trip was our guide Craig. Very funny man full of silly anecdotes that everyone enjoyed. Very much appreciate that I can now tell which constellation is my zodiac and which Is the big dipper pointing to the north star. Definitely an experience worth undertaking if you haven't yet.

It was cloudy on the day so was a bit worried we wouldn't see anything but we drove at a nice restaurant where the meal and sweet were very nice with a complimentary drink. This was final comfort break.
We carried on up to see the sunset which was absolutely beautiful. You could take your own video but our great guide Craig explained that he would video it which would then be available on Night Skies site. He also took your photo with the red ski behind us. You got a complimentary drink, juice or think it was prosecco. Either dress really warm or take a puffer jacket supplied as it is quite cold.
We then travelled up to where we were going to see the stars.
Watching the stars coming out was awesome never been anywhere we you could see that amount of stars. Craig pointed out ones that appeared to be moving and advised they were satellites.
Telescopes had already been set up by Craig's other guides. Craig talked us through what we were seeing at every stage. We saw the moon and he took pics through the telescope on your phone (must do). Absolutely amazing seeing the moon clearly. Ours was a 🌙 but crater could be seen.
While the 🔭 were being realigned Craig talked through other things of interest. He showed us the zodiac signs but as clouds were appearing by then we didn't see the last of them.
Final photo taken and then back down the mountain road and dropped off at your original pick up point about 12.30 ish.
All photos and video taken are totally free and were available by link sent to your phone next 1/2 days.
All in all going with Night Skies was the right choice. Our driver Lopez was an amazing driver and Craig was a lovely guide who kept us advised on what we were seeing.
Must do if you don't do any other trips do this amazing views.Great night out.

Such an incredible experience! I absolutely loved the stargazing, the sunset, the free alcohol! The potatoes and sauce in the meal were lovely, the meat was a little too hard for me but the tasty dessert (chocolate mousse cake) made up for it :) Kieran and the bus guide (sorry I’ve forgotten his name) were both extremely knowledgable and it made the trip very interesting and fun. We were offered hot chocolates when we got cold which was really nice too. Thank you!

What an amazing night sky experience. Special thanks for the whole team involved for their expertise in the field of astronomy and the surrounding area of Mount Teide. Would definitely use Night Sky Tenerife again.

Amazing experience and easy from booking to end of experience, very well organised and interactive, learnt so many Facts and was the best time of my Holiday, Craig was my tour Guide and was great fun, also being a solo traveller everyone was welcoming and didn’t feel out of place once,

If you only do one trip in Tenerife then do this one, it was excellent from start to finish, we had to change the date of our originally planned tour due to double booking but this was not a problem and dealt with very efficiently, the tour itself was superb, dinner at the Restaurant was lovely, then onto watching the sunset which was idyllic, all professional photos taken by the guides are excellent and what is even better they do not charge you for them, it is all included in the price of the tour, the stargazing was amazing Keiron and his team are very knowledgeable and we got to see lots of stars, and viewing the moon through the telescopes was awesome! Well done to all the team for an excellent evening!
