Amazing tour! We saw turtles, sharks, stingrays and just about every fish we could think of! Lots of time at each reef and beautiful coral. Felt very safe even though the sea was quite rough. They offered pool noodles and life jackets for those who needed. The staff were FANTASTIC and very knowledgable and clearly love what they do. The lunch was good and they even served tea and cakes in the morning and afternoon on top of this. The only downside (and I feel this could not be helped) was the intro dive that we had. This was due to a woman in my group really struggling and not being able to cope and having to constantly surface. This meant that our time in the water was largely reduced compared to other groups (we had under 15 minutes under the surface) and we had to stay linked up the whole time. My intro dive was free in my package so I wasn't too fussed and I had done a dive before, but I think if I had paid the $80 I would have been a little miffed. However like I say Im not sure how else they could have done it and it didn't ruin my day at all.

Really enjoyed my trip on the Silverswift. The trip out to the Great Barrier Reef was very rocky and lots of people were getting seasick, however, the staff dealt with this really well and they clearly had lots of experience. They were helping people to the back of the boat so that they could feel more comfortable and frequently going round and checking on everyone. Additionally, they provided sea sickness tablets. We were brought to 3 snorkel spots which were all great and given a briefing at each spot about where the best places to swim were. We saw a turtle on our tour and lots of fish which was also great. The buffet lunch was delicious and the portions were very generous and there was plenty of food to go round. There was also coffee and cake so we never felt hungry.

Awesome combination dive and snorkel trip to the Great Barrier Reef. First dive stop wasn't great, but second and third were fantastic. Saw sharks, turtles and stingrays. Visibility was great...15-30 meters. Snacks, coffee/tea and a good buffet lunch included. The crew and dive masters are fantastic. They treat you like an adult, but are quick to help when you need a hand. 1000% glad we went on this awesome trip!!!

Don’t book with silverswift! It was really the badest experience ever. The weather conditions where rough, we decided to go anyways because the women on the counter couldn’t book us in the next two days. The women on the counter also said that only the drive to the spots will be a little bit bumpy and we might get seasick, but she told us as soon as we are on the spots it will be calm for snorkelling. The ride there was horrible everyone was vomiting. As we got to the first spot we got out and it was really wavy, so not calm as promised! Because of the waves I got water in my snorkel all the time but the badest thing was that it was really hard to swim to the reef and it was even harder to stay over it because the waves brought me in an area where the staff said I am not allowed to snorkel, but I wasn’t able to swim back because the waves where just to strong! So I was in the water for around 15 minutes…. Because of the bad conditions the staff told us it’s not possible to move to an other reef because the conditions are even worse there. So for the second snorkel we stayed at the exact same spot!!!! We decided to go out anyways, the problem was that one of the divers passed out under water and got stabilised in the cabin, so the staff told us that we can’t go out snorkelling because we can’t get passed that area in the cabin. For the promised third spot they moved the boat for around 200 m, so we got out on the same reef…. The waves were the same we couldn’t really get out to the reef. We didn’t saw anything, no shark, no turtle just a few small fish. So in the end we booked 3 spots and got only one spot!!!! And couldn’t go three times in the water. The company is not willing to give us any refund!!!!!! They are really impolite on the phone and not listening to our situation at all! Never book over Silverswift, I would give zero stars if that would be possible!

This company makes you feel like a product. No decompression sitos for Divers and too many people per guide. That’s not right

From the moment we stepped on the boat the crew operated like a "well oiled machine" working together to provide the 90 divers and snorkelers on board a positive experience. It was clear that they had the experience and the attitude to make that happen. It was quite breezy the day we went out so the snorkeling was a bit more challenging along with slightly reduced visibility but none of that was the crew's fault. The snacks and lunch were very good and kept us fueled all day.

Went on this trip with to much expectations. First, it's for divers not snorkling. They have snorkling ok there agenda to fill up the boat, you won't see much as a snorkeler. Then we have the staff, most of them have chosen the wrong career. They seemed stressed and easily angered. I went with four friends that would dive. I sat with them on the boat and got the safety instructions for divers, good, easy to understand etc. When we came to the first diving spot I wanted to take photos when they where going in. However the staff ordered me to go inside and listen to the "safety" instructions for the snorkling. I went inside and listened, the instructor explained where the toilets where and I thought that it's not a safety instruction that's instructions about the boat so I went outside again and continued be with my friends when they geared up. Once again I was not askt but ordered to go inside. I told the angry and unpleasant staff member that it's not a safety instruction, she became more angry and told me it's for my safety so I went inside again. This time the instructor said that lunch is at 12.30. I thought this had to be some kind of joke and went up to my seat on the second floor. Another angry staff member came after me and said that I really need to listen to there instructions, I went down again and had to stand next to a woman that was puking in a bag. So, conclusions and questions.. Why so they not have all the safety instructions at the same time? Why isn't it enough to listen to one safety instruction? And most of all, why have the staff on this job not changed career when it's obvious that they are sick and tired of customers. ONLY GO WITH THIS TRIP IF YOU AND ALL THAT YOU TRAVEL WITH DIVE. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES FOR SNORKLING.
