Enjoy a unique experience and see traditional dances from all over Greece. The program changes every second Wednesday and last around 90 minutes without intermission. A company of 75 dancers, musicians and singers perform dances from many regions of Greece, villages and islands. Admire authentic dances, costumes, musical instruments and songs. Dances, songs and music are presented in their original forms that were or are still performed in the respective villages or islands. Costumes are authentic museum pieces, hand made in villages a century ago: 2000 costumes from all over Greece, complete with jewellery and accessories. Don’t forget your camera to capture all these unique moments and this amazing performance.

Dont waste money expecting to see dance shows in a tavern! For only 15 euros you get the best company, which researches the etnology of each regional dance and performs them in an open air theather at the Acropolis foothills. Rich costumes and jewelry plus 8 musiciens add to the show!

Unfortunately, my review is not positive. The dance company cancelled the performance due to weather. The rain lasted about 7 minutes. We stayed in the area for about an hour and the weather was fine. They ticket office refused to reimburse our tickets because we put purchase them on line with Tripadvisor. Not sure how I can get my money back. The management of Dora Stratou is lacking. The customer service is not present. This enterprise along with Tripadvisor's ability to sell tickets that tourists cannot have reimbursed appears to be a scam. Dora Stratou ability to so quickly cancel the event may be considered another scam. We waited time, ticket money, and taxi money. The location is not very accessible.

Thoroughly enjoyed this show. Best way to end our trip to Athens. Wonderful energy and so entertaining. Being in the lovely outside theatre was a bonus.

Well, the costumes were brilliant and the music lovely. The dancers were talented and skilled. However, the choreography was, for the most part, boring. If you were to go to a wedding and repeat the same steps over and over again, it might be fine. However, as a viewer, the amount of repetition made for a lack of interest in the performance. At the end, the dancing became livelier and more varied and consequently, more exciting. Beware! Do not walk in the park to get to the theater but take the sidewalk as much as possible. I got bit by a dog whose owners appeared stoned out of their minds. Pretty upsetting incident.

Ogni volta che vado ad Atene torno a vedere lo spettacolo di danze popolari di Dora Stratou. Il programma viene cambiato ogni due settimane ed ogni volta scopro danze diverse di qualche località greca. Lo show dura 1 ora e mezzo e costa € 15 a persona. La serata scorre piacevolmente senza risultare pesante. Costumi bellissimi, gruppo di musicisti bravissimi e corpo di ballo importante. Attenzione che ci sono due entrate diverse, una è quella più usata ed agevole mentre l' altra è secondaria e ci si arriva percorrendo una strada un pò scivolosa e buia.
Per una serata piacevole al fresco in piena tradizione greca.

Fue una hermosa velada para conocer los trajes típicos y música original del folklore griego. El lugar, a pesar de ser paradisíaco a la luz de la luna nos sorprendió que a la salida estuviéramos en un lugar remoto sin posibilidad de médios De transporte para retornar a casa. Éste es un factor importante ya que pone algo de tristeza Al broche de oro de una gala tan bonita para el turista que poco conoce de la cultura local

Achei o grupo de dança tradicional excelente! Além de coreografia impecável, o vestuário estava muito bonito e o local era maravilhoso. Vale a pena assistir, com certeza!!
