Enjoy a full day on the outer Great Barrier Reef, including snorkelling at two stunning reef locations, optional introductory or certified scuba diving (dive packages only), plus a fresh buffet lunch. This package also includes a 10 minute scenic flight on board a luxury helicopter over North Hastings Reef.

Check-in is from 7.15am at Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Please make your way to the Down Under Cruise and Dive counter to check-in. Boat departs at 8.00am sharp.
Due to comfort, weight and balance of the aircraft, the weight limit for helicopters is 130kg. Please contact the supplier directly for further information.
All divers are required to complete a Medical Questionnaire. In a commitment to the safety of our guests, divers over 65 years must have a medical clearance with a physician the confirms they are Fit To Dive. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and ANY prescription medications will require a letter or email from a doctor clearing you to dive. This clearance must state your full name, the doctor's name and practice and the clearance to dive for the specific medications/condition. Please review the operators Medical Questionnaire and Terms & Conditions prior to travel.
Evidence of dive qualification (certification card) is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive.
Children aged and under 12 years (introductory) and 10 years (certified divers) are not permitted to participate in onboard diving activities as per Queensland Australian Law.
Children under the age of 18 must be in the immediate company of a parent or legal guardian.
Diving within 24 hours before your flight is not permitted.
Special dietary requirements must be confirmed at least 24 hours prior to travel directly with the tour operator. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options are available.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund

Amazing day out snorkelling and flying over the GBR. Would recommend doing the helicopter flight so worth it! The food was really nice and plenty of it.
The crew was amazing, really friendly and helpful.

What a great trip! We experienced some choppy waters but the staff kept everyone enthusiastic and properly medicated (sea sickness). It certainly did not ruin our day. I cannot say enough about how the staff worked together and made such a fun, educational, and safe atmosphere. We chose to Scuba Dive and take a helicopter ride. We felt we had every opportunity to see two beautiful reefs from all three view points!

We had the best day with Down Under Cruise and Dive, they were all so incredibly great to spend the day with..
The food was unbelievable, so much choice and never ran out.
We can’t wait to book again.
Highly recommend this package with Down Under.

The whole trip was amazing, a once in a lifetime experience and the crew really went out of their way to make you feel included. Personal care was great and the buffet for lunch was very nice too.

Amazing experience. Number of people were not too many. There were decent spaces to hang out in and activities to do. Fave part of this tour was their CREW!!

Your boat is magnificent. Your service was excellent. Saxon and Hastings reef were spectacular, I saw so many fish. Food was top class. Best value in Cairns.

Diving the Great barrier reef was a lifelong dream and bucket list item for my husband who is 81 years old and in good health. Phil, one of the dive instructors, created such a delightful experience for him, that he went on a second dive the same day. The crew members seem to work together like a family and made the experience that much more enjoyable. And they are also incredibly knowledgeable and everyone is so friendly and they get to know your name right away. I like the extra counting and making sure everyone is on board. We opted to take the helicopter home in addition to the 10-minute scenic route and that provided another experience and a shorter day.

What a fantastic, well organized tour. Everything went smoothly from start to end. The staff was exceptional. They were so friendly and helpful. They took safety very serious with several checks throughout the day. The two reefs we went to were wonderful to experience. We could not do the helicopter ride because of bad weather in Cairns. Food was good. A chance of a lifetime - rain or sun!
