Sitka Sound is home to some of the most amazing wildlife in the world. On our trips we often see seals, sea lions, sea otters, whales, and porpoises. There is a wide variety of birds in our area as well: bald eagles, puffins, and muir are just a few that stand out. Sitka Blacktail deer and Brown Bears are also a common sight. This wildlife tour is perfect for those looking to experience the breathtaking and overwhelming scenery the Tongass National Forest has to offer, with fantastic opportunities for photography and making memories.
No animal sightings are guaranteed. All trips are different due to weather and time of year.

Jaren was our captain today & the tour was awesome. Our family of 5 was the only family on the boat, we saw sea lions, otters & gray whales. We enjoyed the beautiful Alaska scenery & info about the city. Jaren was also kind enough to drop us off back at the cruise port instead of the town where we would have had to shuttle back to the ship. Highly recommend!

My family and I were just in Sitka and booked a tour with Sitka Sea Level Adventures for the second time. Just as last time, we had Jaren as our captain and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience aboard as he took us around the coastline surrounding his beautiful hometown. We saw bald eagles, sea otters, sea lions, humpbacks and grey whales, as well as the local lighthouse, volcano and fishing vessels of Sitka. Unlike the excursions that you can book through the cruise ship where you are one of many, Jaren’s tours provide a wonderfully personal, relaxed, and interactive way learn about and experience the best Sitka has to offer. Our host was great. We enjoyed seeing Otters, Sea Lions, Eagles, and Gray Whales! A blow-hole (water spout) was also seen onshore. Smelling whale blow was a whole new "treat" (!!). This was a very personal experience (4-5 passenger tour) vs. the typical large-boat "excursion".

Maureen was fun and friendly, she knew where to take us to see otters, seals, and grey whales. We had so many grey whales around us that we could smell their “bad breath” from the blow holes. We were so glad that we booked this private tour rather than going through the cruise ship excursions.

The trip was absolutely amazing and well worth it. Brody was very kind, knowledge and accommodating. The scenes were breathtaking and we saw all sorts of wildlife including eagles, sea lions and more whales than we can count. It was a wonderful excursion and we are so glad we booked with this small group rather than booking an excursion on the cruise ship. I highly recommend using Sitka Sea Level Adventures!

We saw everything! Chased orcas, gray whales, saw otters and sea lions. Maureen was an incredibly knowledgeable and adventurous guide. A++ all around

Our guide was so great! She did an amazing job giving us details of where we were and what we were looking at. We got to see so many whales, sea lions and otters! Would recommend this tour to anyone in the area!
