First of all, George was more than personable. He remembered my name! Who does that nowadays?! He remembered all of our names. He was friendly, knowledgeable and generally had a great vibe! If you do a tour, you should do this one, with George!

George could not have provided a more entertaining tour! He thought of everything possible to make our day an enjoyable one. Despite dense fog, rain, wind and a complete of sunshine he made this St John’s and area tour shine. His knowledge of the area and experiences with local celebrities made of a terrific time. The fish and chip luncheon was very good! Great service from pick up to drop off. Highly recommended

We have been on several local tours in many countries and George’s is hands down the best. We just spent the day (almost 6 hours) with George and his lovely partner Deneen on a tour of all the must see attractions in and around St. John’s, Newfoundland, including a delicious lunch of fish and chips (included) at By the Beach restaurant. A truly personable, knowledgeable and engaging couple will keep you both entertained and informed during the tour. If you are planning a trip to St. John’s you have to book this tour. We found George’s tour via TripAdvisor and we are so glad we did because we truly had a fantastic day with him. We were promptly picked up at our hotel and were seated in a spacious van for our tour. We learned so much about St. John’s and were so fortunate that George graced us with an almost 6 hrs. tour! It is readily apparent that he is passionate about showing off the history and beauty of St. John’s and his narrative is infused with energy and humour. We had a 5-year-old and 3-year-old on our tour as well and they had a great time with no complaints. Lunch at By The Beach was perhaps one of the best fish & chips we ever had - huge portions of super lightly battered flaky codfish with sides of dressing and gravy and refreshing pineapple crush. We highly recommend George’s tour, you will walk away armed with so much knowledge, it is literally a crash course of all the St. John’s must-sees!

What a great day we had with our host George. Despite having a bad weather day we learned so much about this great province. The history and incredible sites that we visited made the 4 plus hours go by too quickly.
Get George to tell you about his theatrical experience. What a diverse and diverse life he has led.
Highly recommend this tour.

George was a knowledgeable and personable guide. His narrative had just the right mix of history of the places visited and personal experience with those places.
He was a solicitous and considerate host, answering all questions. We saw places off the beaten path that we wouldn't have considered going to ourselves.
The weather the day we went out with him started out pretty foggy and gloomy but finished with brilliant blue sky and warm sun. Picture perfect!

We enjoyed every minute of our day. From the moment we were picked up, we were enjoying ourselves. George made a rainy, blustery day fun. We didn’t get to see the stunning St. John’s scenery, but we learned about the area, and life on the island. George’s love for the area is contagious. We had a great lunch of some of the best fish and chips, tried pineapple soda, and listened to the rolling rocks on the beach.
