We will drive to the most promising Aurora hunting area within a 400-500km one way driving distance, find the best spot we can and once we find clear skies we stay there for as long as the show lasts!

Actual pickup time depends on the conditions on the day of the tour and you will be informed about the details once I know where we have to drive for the night! Usually this happens on the day of the tour by 14:00 (2 P.M.). My car is a blue van with registration plate KRO-802.

After I booked this tour, unfortunately the forecast for the night and the following 3 nights wasn't great and Velu reached out to me by midday on WhatsApp to let me know. He was honest and refunded the entire trip. HOWEVER, the reason I'm writing this review and giving him 5 stars is that over the coming days, Velu continued to speak to me on WhatsApp and help me organise a tour with other tour operators on a day where the forecast was good, taking time out of his day to explain what CME (Coronal mass ejections) are and how the pros forecast auroras. In the end, I saw a massive rare blue aurora with another operator but it wouldn't have worked without Velu's help and his honesty. Don't be cheap and try to see the northern lights with another cheaper tour, go with Velu as you'll get the best service you could ever imagine and with a tiny bit of luck, he WILL do everything in his power to help you see the northern lights - From an Aussie who has dreamt of seeing them for years

Velo is one of the best guides I have come across. We took a tour with Velo, actually we were his first ever customers. He has his van set up with all equipments and accessories for the nothern lights hunting and also for the ease of the passengers.
While on the tour he gave us a lot of information about the phenomena and how to read the cloud cover, kp index etc.
He drove for 10 hours in search of nothern lights and took us to Sweden. Unfortunately even after 650km of drive, we could not spot the lights due to heavy cloud cover but Velo left no stone unturned with his efforts. We had a tour previous day with a nothern lights tour company where they just wanted to end the trip and from the second spot (40 mins) they gave up and wanted to head back. The company tours would want you to return at a specifc time and would not take so much effort. Highly recommended to take this tour with Velo

Amazing experience! Velu is an extraordinary guide, he puts so much effort and passion into what he does to give you the chance to see the aurora. Definitely recommended
