Be prepared to walk. A lot! It's worth the experience.
When you first get inside they will take your picture for identification purposes. Don't be alarmed, it's so at the end of your adventure all your pictures will be together. They take a lot of pictures.
We zip lined and swam. That's all there is to really do. The water is all naturally there. The cave swim and Azule Hoya had some very cold water. The waterfall water was the warmest water. Some of this looks man made, you'll see.
There's some wildlife exhibits. Monkeys, snakes, parrots, and iguanas.
The only zip line we didn't do was the Spiderman. It's way up there and a good hike to get to.

Loved the Hoyo Azul but not worth $129 per person, food overpriced and crappy,
very well kept. Locals working there are very nice,

Here are logistical details that will be very helpful for an awesome day at scape park like we had! We are a family of four staying at majestic colonial - 2 “kids” ages 17 (girl) and 19 (boy).

-shoes: we stressed out a bit about this beforehand but didn’t need to. We didn’t bring water shoes and opted to not buy them for the $25 they are in the store at scape. We wore tennis shoes at beginning to hike up to Superman and do the cave tour. Then we switched into flip flops for other activities, taking them off completely for some. Water shoes would have been better but not necessary if you don’t have them.

-lockers: yes it’s $5 for a little lock. But honestly I have paid for lockers before and at least got a lock to keep out of this one. Lockers fit a book bag with 4 pairs of tennis shoes and sun screen and water bottles. No need for towels. You will dry off from heat!

-walking: yes there is a lot of walking and hiking. The people who complain about this must not understand what an adventure park is. We are in pretty good shape and are a very active family and found it to be part of the fun. But if you don’t exercise or enjoy adventure, do something else.

-order of day: we decided to do Superman first because wanted to do the dry ones first. Must wear closed toe shoes for this. It’s a challenging hike up many steps to top of cliffs but worth it! There was no line. We went on a Sunday and didn’t encounter any crowds. One of the workers told us Saturdays and Wednesdays are crazy but Sunday is the chillest day. Superman is incredible.

You “land” from Superman at front of park - right next to lockers. We stopped for water then walked to cave tour. It’s a timed tour every hour (schedule is at the information desk when you walk in. Take a pic and also a pic of map). It was nice. Not super exciting but pretty and informative tour guide. Took about 45 mins total.

Then we walked to Hoya azul because we were close and very hot! There are cubbies to put shoes and such in so we did that and jumped in. We wore our bathing suits under our shorts and tank tops which we stashed with shoes. It was amazing and refreshing. All of ours favorite part of the park!

WARNING: I jumped in and realized a few minutes later my Apple Watch fell off on the jump. It is lost 46 feet deep under water. A casualty I was not too upset about since it was a very old model and I was due for an upgrade! But be careful of yours :-)

Next we made our way back to front and stopped for lunch at the coffee and empanada stand. They were so nice and it was very very good. Iced coffees, 5 empanadas and a quesadilla for $50. Not terrible. Everywhere took Apple Pay.

Next we headed back to lockers to change into flip flops and re apply sunscreen. First water activity we did was the hammock swing and monkey bar jump. These both require a life vest so we did them at same time. No other activities needed a life vest. Then we hit the waterfall pool to cool off some more before headed to zip lines. All zip lines have water features. There were five lines on the “tour” - there are other ones that are dry but they were closed. It didn’t bother us as we had plenty to do. Last zip line you land in water and they make you take off shoes and secure them to the line so you don’t lose them.

After zip line we hit up the cave swim which was awesome!!!! Really refreshing. We enjoyed reading about the history of DR but on the walk back out to get the rest of the history we started to get bit up bad by bugs so we missed it.

Then we had time for one more bonus activity so we went back to the hammock swings as my daughter loved that the most.

We ended up buying picture package even though we weren’t going to but the zip line ones turned out so good!

Monkeys and iguana land were really cool. Then it was off to the bus. We had to wait for one last couple who took their time getting there but the ac was on and it wasn’t too bad. We were back at hotel by 6… exhausted but happy!

Special kudos to Elvis - the worker who was at the back information desk. He was friendly and very very helpful!

Pros:
We were lucky to get there so early because we had the pool/waterfall to ourselves and the zip line had no wait. We really liked the park as a whole..

Cons:
The trip could have been shorter. We ended up having several hours with nothing we wanted to do. It seemed like other hotels had options for shorter days but not Melia in Punta Cana

The food at the restaurant was horrible (buffet not available). The only good thing about the restaurant was the shade and the cute stray cats. My husband actually just threw away his meal. The pizza further in the park looked better and we wish we had tried that instead.

Some of the park staff were rude. The worst on was on the way to the blue lagoon. He was putting on our helmets and he patted my husband’s stomach and said “baby” and laughed. I told him that was rude and he tried to laugh and make us feel okay with his body shaming joke. As we were walking out of the blue lagoon he had the nerve to ask for a tip (for what…putting on a helmet and insulting us?!?!!). There were staff that were more professional - the zip line discreetly checked that he was aware of the weight limit and didn’t ask him to get on the scale. They added an extra safety harness without extra discussion.

The entire park was fun! Something for everyone. I would even pay extra money to have lunch included, instead of just available.

Beautiful venue. 10/10. Highly recommend.

The best tour of our entire trip. We take our time to say THANK YOU! This tour was fabulous. We hired it at the hotel, it included transportation and all activities. The only thing to improve would be to include some type of buffet lunch but everything else is excellent, the attractions, swimming pools, the wonderful blue hole.

It’s an awesome place. My family enjoyed it. The only icks I have are the following. They should notate that water shoes or closed shoes are required. Sandals are not allowed for some rides. You end up having to buy $25 water shoes. Also, you can’t take any bags with you, only clear cell phone holder. You have to rent a locker ($5), not too bad. I also would like to include that picture that they of you are super expensive. (All are digital, no actual picture).

Today was an incredible day, great buffet, excellent offers, great variety, especially the sweets which are exquisite, the pool delicious with all the shows and the temperature, the attention of the workers spectacular and very grateful, the rooms with excellent comfort , cleaning and organization. Without a doubt an ideal place to relax and change the scene. Of course I will continue visiting it for a long time to come.
