As a veteran of numerous commercial treks on four continents, I can say that Trexperience is in the Top 5 percent of providers I have used. From price to ease of booking to communications in advance of the trek to the care and performance of the guides and other staff during the trip, this was a great outing.
Guides JJ and Yohn were outstanding. The food was over the top. The accommodations, especially the "glamping" on the first night, were exceptional.

The 5 day Salkantay trek is an incredible and amazing experience. It is hard, but our guide Filio and the whole crew were so experienced, supportive and caring that they made the whole trek easier than what it is in reality. Not to mention all the delicious and diverse meals prepared by our chefs Daniel and Elizabeth!
All 5 days are very different. Hiking in the mountains, walking through amazing landscapes and sceneries and different elevations was so rewarding and breath taking. The visit of the Macchu Picchu on the final day is the cherry on the top. Even though it’s a bit crowded and we’ve seen pictures of the site hundreds of times, it is an amazing visit and discovery. As Filio knew the site well and had great explanations, he made the visit even more interesting.
I would definitely recommend this trek to anyone who wants to challenge themselves in a one in a lifetime and unforgettable experience. I wish anyone to have a guide as great as Filio who really made this trek so unique.

Our Guides, Charley and Ruben, were amazing and professional. The porters and cooking crew provided exceptional service. The cooking crew served Michelin level food in an austere environment. I cannot describe how good the food is and how impressed I was with the presentation of it considering we were hiking in the mountains where there was little to no electricity and running water! The crew was very professional and respectful the entire trip. Their professionalism was above any guided tour I have ever done! Both our guides provided history of the Incas throughout the trip and made the entire group feel like old friends. They were like a walking history book. If you want to experience the trip of a life time through the Andes, pick this company. The coffee tour and cooking class are above what I have ever done throughout central and South America. They care about their impact on the environment and promote protecting what we have so that future generations can enjoy our experience. I hope to one day do this again. Especially with the same crew charley and Ruben led!

this trip was amazing. charly and his crew were lovely and helped and nourished us throughout all of the 5 days. i was really impressed with the quality of the food that we got, so good!! the views and the different scenic routes that we got to see during this trek were fantastic. everything was really nicely organised and i hadn’t have to worry about anything. it was really awesome, there‘s really nothing that the team could‘ve done any better. 10/10 would do it again and recommend to anyone interested in having an amazing experience in the peruvian andes.

This trip was honestly one of the best weeks of my life! The views each day were absolutely incredible and I enjoyed the challenge of the hike. The staff were fantastic and worked so hard, especially Charlie our tour guide. I can’t believe that kitchen staff and porters carry everything we eat and sleep with each day!! The whole trip was breathtaking and I would 100% recommend it to anybody I know! I wish I could do it again next week

Wow.... That was an incredible experience. There were 3 other hikers with me. The trail is hard, but it gives a wonderful close up connection to Santakay. The guide, Roger, was patient, friendly (of course). The cooks (5 stars Michelin really) were beyond reproach. They did everything to accommodate my gluten and dairyfree diet. The best part of the hike could have been the food which was better than almost most restaurant in cuzco! They were magicians!
The logistic and arrangements for the trek was first class. I will use them again without hesitation.

I could not recommend this tour enough!
From the very start to finish we had the best time. Yes, the hiking was hard at times but you don’t get the views we did without a little bit of effort! The campsites were idyllic, great tents/equipment throughout and it was at a pace that suited all of our group.
Filio our guide was incredible - Super knowledgeable, clear English, funny and kept us motivated throughout! We were incredibly well looked after throughout (even woken up each morning with a coffee through our tent door!)
The food - Wow!!! I have no idea how in such small spaces the chefs were able to produce platter upon platter of delicious food! We never had the option of being hungry!
Compared to other tours we saw along the way it felt like we had the best food, lunch spots and camping spaces on the trek!
Don’t hesitate and book it!

WOW! What an epic trip, genuinely couldn’t have expected better than this was. From the moment we got picked up, until the moment we got back to our hotel we had all of the information we could need from Filio. He had a lot of knowledge about everything to do with the Incas and the history of the trek. He even taught us how to make a rope out of grass :)
Filio was very patient and helpful with us, especially when we found the hiking hard, encouraging us and making us laugh along the way.
We got woken up every morning with coffee or tea in our tents, before breakfast and starting the day! The food we had was delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner and the variety was incredible. Each evening we had a debrief abut the day which I really enjoyed, Filio got us to share our highlights which was a nice way to recap, then a brief for the next day so we knew what we were doing.
Highlight for me was the camping overlooking Machu picchu :)
Thank you so much Filio - I will miss your humour and general zest for life and positivity!

My dream has always been to hike Machu Picchu with my family. TreXperience made the trip possible and absolutely amazing! After missing our original tour start date due to an airport shutdown and arriving in Cusco 24 hours after we were scheduled to, Katy, one of the operators, arranged for us to have a 4-day Salkantay hike with the most amazing tour guide, Sara. We were greeted with warmth and she immediately treated us like family. Our cook Beltran and his assistant cook Kenyo made us the most amazing meals along the way. The team nursed each family member experiencing altitude sickness at various points along the hike with positivity so we could make it to our final destination. We cannot thank you all enough for the most memorable trip!
