The tour guide was very nice, but this is sold as a Savory Foodie tour. I’ve been on food tours around the world and I have to say this was the most disappointing tour. For the price that’s charged I would have expected more than waffles, cookies and candy. We didn’t go to chocolate by Adam, didn’t visit Rise Southern biscuits, or Tondees Tavern. Basically I paid for someone to walk us around for an 1 1/2 not the 3 hour tour. We had to ask about any history or if there was anything historical we should know about. I will definitely not recommend this tour. Very disappointed I had such high hopes.

The tour guide was very nice, but this is sold as a Savory Foodie tour. We are foodies we’ve been on food tours around the world and I have to say this was the most disappointing tour. For the price that’s charged I would have expected more than waffles, cookie tasting, honey tasting and praline tasting. If you’re into sweets you might enjoy this tour. We didn’t go to chocolate by Adam, didn’t visit Rise Southern biscuits, or Tondees Tavern. Basically I paid for someone to walk us around for an 1 1/2 not the 3 hour tour. We had to ask about any history or if there was anything historical we should know about.
The tour was uneventful, I wouldn’t recommend any of the places we went. I will definitely not recommend this tour. Very disappointed I had such high hopes. If you’re looking for a foodie tour I would recommend getting a walking map and hitting places that look good to you it will be cheaper and more enjoyable.
This was such a waste of afternoon, time and money I had another food tour booked for another day and cancelled it. I can’t go thru another disappointing tour on our anniversary.

We had a wonderful guide,Minh. It was just the 2 of us but he made us feel welcomed. We took as much time as needed at each stop. The Brunswick Stew was one of my favorites. We also stopped at a Honey Bar which I thought was crazy but it turned out to be one of my favorites. I learned about the various honeys and purchased some. Yum! It was just long enough for us and we finished with pizza.
The only bad part was trying to reach someone to cancel a reservation. One person who was supposed to go got sick. I tried calling from 8:30 am several times and there was no answer and no answering machine. I know you are to cancel 24 hrs ahead but couldn’t reach anyone. I even tried a “chat” at the website and they said call the number. Finally around 3:00pm I tried again. No answer but a second later I got a call from another number. She said no refunds. I was disappointed in lack of response On this part, I would give a “0”

The guide was sweet but gave some incorrect information. We were not taken to all of the destinations on the expectation list. We did not go to Tombee’s for Gumbo, or to Rise for Chicken and biscuits. We did not hear stories from many places listed. We were taken to the wrong Traylor Hitch, and did not have Shrimp and Grits Tacos. Stopping by shops can be done without a tour excursion. I booked the tour to entertain a friend from California. I was embarrassed and it wasted our afternoon.

The tour was nothing like I expected it was going to be. The tour guide was very sweet but took us to an incorrect location for one of the foods to try. The information provided was not all correct, and we did not go to some of the eating spots that were listed for the tour. I had booked this tour for a delight for an out of town guest. I am sorry that we wasted our time.

I thought Gail was a great tour guide. She was kind and informative. When we went, we were the only ones in the tour so it felt very personal.
