Kind of overrated, honestly. Great views if pretty pictures is your only objective. I brought my friend here from out of town. First I purchased tickets beforehand, only to find they are cheaper when you get there. There was no line so prepurchasing was not necessary. The animation in the elevator as you go up has nothing to do with the history of the city. They basically just removed Top of the Hub and painted everything white. There are very small miniatures of significant buildings inside, but honestly it is very stark. No info or history about the city or what you’re looking at. There was nothing inviting about the outside observation deck, and nothing up there helped you navigate the city. I visited this a week after the One World in NYC, so maybe my expectations were high. But seemed like a tourist trap to me. I don’t think I’ll be bringing friends here in the future.

The newly opened observatory deck in Boston is a must go when visiting the city for the first time. There was no queue to go up and the deck was not too busy so we could enjoy the view at our own pace… then we had late lunch at the bistro…

The view was amazing, the staff were professional and friendly. I like how you have the option to hang out and grab a drink after. It really caters to any social gathering. I loved it!

I came here for lunch with my nephew and a friend and had a blast! I got the $35 ticket for each one and a bottle of wine when we were there and everything was lovely! The food was amazing and the wine too! The views afterwards memorable!

We did this experience on the first day we had in Boston. We've done similar attractions in different cities, including NYC, and this was one of the nicest ones. There are lots of different areas and the viewing spaces are really airy and spacious. It was a relaxing and calm way to view the city and we would recommend this to others to do on a nice day.

Take the tour! Our guide Dan was amazing! He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He pointed out many buildings, sites etc and provided the history and suggestions.
The views are great from this height because you can still see the buildings as opposed to looking like small ants.
There are so many resources here that Dan explained. Start your Boston trip with this tour.
I highly recommend this activity with the tour.
