Itinerary
A tour with the Calypso is one of the most fun on Maui! This stable, high-speed, triple-decker catamaran will get you to two snorkel sites fast: Molokini Crater and Turtle Town, and with all the equipment you need and plenty of food on board, what more could you ask for?
The Calypso leaves from Ma’alaea Harbor, and after you are welcomed aboard by your friendly crew, you can take a look at the delicious continental breakfast. After everyone is settled in, it’s off to the most popular underwater destination in Maui for some Molokini snorkeling! While you are enjoying the feel of the ocean wind in your hair.
Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful.
After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town – a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.

Excellent for families. All inclusive activity. The staff were friendly and we were well fed. Great boat for snorkeling with multiple stair entries. Turtle Town was our favorite!

Trip matched description and our family had a great time. Enjoyed the boat and the fact it had extra things to do - water slide and platform jump. Staff was friendly and the food was good. Would recommend to anyone visiting Maui who enjoys being on the water and snorkeling for a 1/2 day.

Molikini snorkeling was amazing. So many beautiful fish. Turtle Town was great too - saw five Green Sea Turtles. Crew was very friendly and professional. Plenty of food for breakfast and lunch and the food was very good.

Finding Parking spot was not easy. Full space parked. We were late 3Min due to finding parking space. They left leave us at dock. I cried and help to get in. Everybody watching us. But crews are si cold. Simply left us. This is not Aloha we knew. We prepared this trip from last Dec. There are no take care of customers. Very cold. Even they refused refund.

Very nice and fun crew. Their time management and care was perfect.
However, they did not have enough gear for all the people and it made us wait for a while so we lost time and couldn’t fully experience the first round of snorkelling.
The food was not the best. Very basic and not tasty at all. But their snacks, especially the healthy options were satisfying.

Ok.. honesty time. I really wanted to love this experience. There were way too many people. It felt like snorkeling through a sea of people, not fish. Everything on board felt gross. The food wasnt good. We skipped the lunch because we didn't want that to ruin the actual lunch we decided to have afterwards. While the crew was polite, they did really drive home the paid extras and very explicitly "recommended" we tip the crew. Probably 20 times. They were so bold as to recommend a specific amount as customary.
If you want to see Molokini, do it. Just do it on a boat with way fewer people. Maybe you'll get an experience where you'll want to eat the food or drink and tip.
Sorry for being so honest.

Went on memorial day and the ship was packed with almost every seat taken. I think the captain mentioned there were 150 people that day. The seas that day were a little choppy, enough to make me and others seasick. The side of the ship always had someone hurling. When we got to Molokini, I felt that there were maybe too many people in the water just from our ship. Even though people spread out as much as we were directed to we were still bumping and kicking each other. This added to my frustration. The food and beverages seemed to be ok, but for most that were seasick we couldn't enjoy it. The feeling of being cramped didn't help either.

We had the best time! The Captain and crew were fantastic! Turtle Bay was amazing. We have never seen so many turtles. They were floating on the surface for pictures and dive down. We will be differently going again in 2 years when we come back!
