As you were a bohemien, we will start the tour with a chocolate experience. Try firstly Bicerin, the traditional hot cup receipe consumed in these '800 century cafès.

We will move than to explore how local chocolatiers have worked cocoa for our happinness. Sampling a selection of traditional chocolates like Gianduiotto, Cremino and Cri Cri and moving to premium dark versions made with Criollo. Talking about the global sourcing issues and challanges.

Turin has been developing as a community of citizens from all the regions of Italy, each one bringing over their own recipes and traditions.

From the closest seaside of the city near Cinque Terre sample the Focaccia Ligure from a family shops and experience how great olive oil plays together with a fluffy and tasty bake.

Turin and Piedmont are famous for its wines, from vineyards in the slopes of Alps. The 2 tastings of whites and icon red will be paired with ham and cheese.

Had a fun tour in a small group. Got to try chocolates and drink a glass of red and a glass of white wine. Eating focaccia and another chickpea based bread was a bonus.

The tour included some history of Turin and a few other stops but I did expect more from an expensive tour. No regrets, and a nice alternative to all the excellent museums and other activities.

Was a little disappointed that we didn't get to try a coffee and chocolate drink at one of the shops which gave us some pieces of chocolate as a consolation. We went back the next morning when the guide advised us to but they were closed.

It was such a great tour. We tried many different foods and chocolates and learnt about some of the history of Turin. It was myself and one other lady with a brand new guide - we were her first ever tour. She was so knowledgable and engaging.
Turin has so much to offer and this tour really helps you cover a lot if you only have a short trip.

Delicious and interesting. Would really like a list of where we eat and what we were eating. As Italian is not my language, I had trouble understanding the names of everything. A cheat sheet would be super helpful. It would also be great to be offered a discount to come back and shop.

Irene was an excellent and wonderfully enthusiastic guide on our exploratory tour in search of Turin chocolate and Piedmontese wine!
She has an incredibly broad gourmet knowledge and can really give interesting answers to any question (in perfect English). It is particularly nice to see how friendly the owners of the various bars and shops we visited are. You immediately feel welcome and even start talking to the people yourself, for example in the Domori chocolate shop where we learned about the advantages and also the responsibility of producing your own cocoa in Venezuela
and about the special features of the rare Criollo cocoa bean.
The warm nature of our guide and the local owners was also very infectious. So our group, made up of a wide variety of people of international backgrounds, became close friends in no time at all, while we tried Gianduiotti and Bicerini, munched on focaccia with lemonade and finally enjoyed a small aperitif with salumi and regional wines.
Irene also told us about the history of the city and Piedmont (she is also an art historian!) and also a few personal anecdotes from the life of her Turin family.
So if you want to learn something about the culinary delights and culture of Turin and feel like you belong there for a moment, then this tour is highly recommended. Grazie mille!

Oh and last but not least: Irene speaks fluent German as well as English! :)

Well-structured activity in the center of Turin.
Tasting of excellent, quality products in historic and particular locations.
Prepared, welcoming guide with the ability not to rush during the tasting and the walk!
Much appreciated 👍

We have been to some high end patisseries, with special chocolate. The tasting of local delicatessen at lunchtime was also fantastic.
