Rachel, our guide was brilliant - informative and fun. Too long in Burano and not long enough in Murano. The glass factory experience was just amazing!

We had a glorious, sunny day for the boat ride. The boat was a comfortable size for our group. The guide was knowledgable and funny. Murano was very interesting and I purchased! Burano was a bit like Disneyland…touristy but fun to shop. Careful if inflated prices.

Lovely boat ride out to Murano and Burano with our excellent English speaking Venetian guide. She was a terrific guide who shared so much info about the history of glass blowing and lace makers, the islands themselves. It was a great overview of Venice and Venetians.

Our guide was friendly and very knowledgable. The Murano glass crafting demonstration was outstanding. Burano was also enjoyable.

Very good tour - Burano was 95% self guided and Murano was interesting, but quite a hard sell.
Raquel was pleasant and very informative. A bit of Proseco on the way back to Venice.

Truly the best! We plan a couple of ‘adventures’ in each place we travel and this one was outstanding. Tour guide, Rachelle, was interesting and fun. Burano was beautiful-a good quiet respite from the craziness of Venice. There’s a full grocery store there, highly recommended getting some bread and cheese and picnicking in the park.
The highlight was the glass demonstration. This was 30+ minutes of watching masters at work. We were speechless at their skill.
Cannot recommend enough (especially for the price).

The glass blowing experience was very interesting. It would have been nice to have time to explore the island. It would have been nice to actually see a lace making demonstration.

While you can take a public boat to these islands and explore on your own, having a local guide like Rachele is well worth the money on your first trip. She was an excellent guide and host with a great sense of humor. The glass making demonstration on Murano was fascinating. The glassware in the showroom was a treasure of beauty. And Burano is a lovely quaint island to explore (and we had a very nice canal-side lunch there as well).
