We meet beside the Spire (the big needle) in the middle of O'Connell street.

After being introduced to your local guide and your fellow travellers we move off to the first stop on our Pub Tour.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Capel Street, Capel St, Dublin, Ireland

Recently pedestrianised, Capel street has become a hub at nighttime for Dubliners and visitors alike to enjoy Dublin's famous Pub Culture.

At our first stop, we experience a craft beer bar serving locally produced Irish beer.

Enjoy tasters of three distinct styles of beer from an Irish microbrewery as your guide explains how the beer is made and how you get the wonderful different flavours.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Strand Street Great, North City, Dublin, Ireland

On our second stop, we visit a beautiful old Victorian close to the river for a glass of Guinness.

Listen as your guide explains why Guinness tastes different and is so much creamier in Ireland compares to other places.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Mary Street, Mary St, North City, Dublin, Ireland

Our third stop is an iconic Dublin pub called Slatterys where we will have time to sit down and enjoy some of the finest traditional Irish food (optional) in the city.

In this location, you will also have a taster of a superb Single Malt Irish whiskey as your guide describes the resurgence in the whiskey distilling industry in Ireland.

To finish, we will have a taster of a delicious craft Irish gin and tonic from a micro-distillery in County Cork.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Marlborough Street, Marlborough St, North City, Dublin, Ireland

What a great last night in Dublin. Conner was a great tour guide. We learned some good history while drinking and having fun. He really brought the group together. Good non touristy pubs and pretty good food options as well. Thank you Conner!

We booked this tour to really experience Irish pubs and celebrate a birthday--but it didn't deliver on either. Generally speaking, most of our time was separated out either in the basement or the upstairs of pubs in private rooms (so you don't really experience the actual pubs) and doing lackluster tastings. (As mentioned, the tastings weren't our motivation for signing up for it, but the beer at the first stop included a generic lager, IPA, and amber--not really specific to Ireland. The second stop was a Guinness, which isn't hard to find.) Our guide seemed nice enough, but he was a bit out of it, stumbling over what he was saying a lot, seeming to forget to keep us moving, and completely disengaging at points. Several people (including ourselves) didn't even make it to our fourth stop, because after sitting at the third stop (Slattery's) for a very long time (past the time we were supposed to be FINISHED at our fourth stop), ourselves and a nice couple we met finally had to ask him how to get out of there. And his response was to gesture at the waitstaff and say we needed to pay out with them without offering to assist with chasing them down, dividing up the bill or anything. (So I had to run after our server to tell her what we had, so we could finally pay up and leave.) It was honestly a very looong, rather dull experience and we didn't even get the Irish music. (To be fair, I heard they did eventually go there, but we were so over all the waiting.) We hoped to end our Dublin trip and my birthday with this fun adventure, but it was a big disappointment. We did get the included beers and things, but we missed out on the music and the lively adventure we thought we were getting. (We actually had much more fun meeting Dublin locals at the pubs we discovered on our own prior to this experience.)

James made the pub tour very enjoyable. He spoke about the history of both the pubs and the beverages that we tried. We met folks from several countries as well as the US.

Thanks so much to our guide Rob. We had a fantastic time. Luckily we had a small sized group and we were able to socialise with everyone! Rob was super friendly and knowledgeable and we had a great time! We also loved the amount of tasters and drinks we had!

Connor was a personable, friendly, and fun tour guide. And he knows beer! He brought us to a pub with excellent live music at the end. The small group of eight of us plus Connor enabled us to have conversation throughout.

Not impressed. Guide was a nice chap but there is just too much down time during tastings making the experience much too long.

The pubs we visited were local and interesting. The different tastings and the education that we received about each was great. It was a very enjoyable evening with my two daughters.
