Discover some of Japan’s most famous highlights on a full-day guided tour from Tokyo. Travel to Mt Fuji’s bustling 5th Station and learn about the revered mountain. Continue to nearby Lake Ashi for a short boat cruise, followed by a ride on the Mt Komagatake Ropeway. Climb by aerial tram to the top of Mt Komagatake and get fantastic views of the Owakudani volcanic valley, Lake Ashi and Mt Fuji. Return to Tokyo by bullet train in the evening. Enjoy the ease of included transportation, entry fees and a knowledgeable guide.

• The order of the tour itinerary is subject to change due to road conditions or other reasons.
• If Mt. Fuji's 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing, an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, or weather conditions, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st Station. When the tour has to turn back at the 1st Station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fujisan World Heritage Center or Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions.
• Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be given for this reason.
• If the Lake Ashi cruise or Komagatake Ropeway cannot be boarded (when not visitable due to suspension of operation, road congestion, or conditions at other sightseeing areas), the tour will be guided to one of the following alternative destinations. (The tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be issued for this reason.) Lake Kawaguchiko Sightseeing Boat "Appare", Swan Lake Cruise Ship on Lake Yamanaka, Hakone Pirate Ship, Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, Hakone Ropeway, Hakone Jukkokutoge Panoramic Cable Car, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Fujiyama Museum, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone-en Aquarium, Ninja Bus, Oshino Shinobi no Sato, Hakone Checkpoint, Odawara Castle, Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, Oshino Hakkai, Hakone Shrine
• Depending on the season and day of the week, traffic conditions may vary, and arrival time at each location may be considerably delayed. Thank you for your understanding.
• Transportation may be delayed by traffic congestion. Even if you miss your Shinkansen after disembarking at Odawara Station due to a delay, no refunds will be given. Please ride the next train in the Non-reserved section. If planning on taking a Shinkansen after the tour ends, please make sure to choose a Shinkansen departing Odawara Station at 19:00 or later.
• Customers who are late for the departure time will have their reservations canceled. Please give yourself plenty of time.
• Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus seats or lunch. If bus seats or lunch is required, please make a booking under the child rate.
• When booking, please indicate the number of customers requesting vegetarian meals or Muslim-friendly meals (please indicate even when there are no requests).
• Muslim-friendly Meals: A menu that does not use pork or alcohol will be provided. Please note that these are not halal certified. Allergy-friendly meals, gluten-free meals, etc. are not available. Customers with allergies and those that would like gluten-free meals should reserve the tour without lunch included.
• GPS-enabled audio guides in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Thai, French, and Indonesian may be used while on board a dedicated vehicle. Please indicate your preferred language in the free entry field at the time of reservation. Same-day requests are not accepted. There are a limited number of audio guides available, so it may not be possible to provide one for each participant. Also, no refunds will be issued even if the audio guide is unusable due to weak signal, device issues, Wi-Fi malfunction, etc. Furthermore, they may be unusable if there are changes to the itinerary.
• Depending on the number of tour participants, transportation to be used may be other than a large bus (mid-size bus, small bus, hired car, etc.).
• This is a carbon offset product where a portion of the tour booking charge is spent on renewable energy. By converting CO2 emissions during the tour to green energy, it's possible to contribute to activities protecting the planet's future.
• On the day when the annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb is held, which is usually on a weekend in June (schedule for 2024 is yet to be determined), the Fuji Subaru Line is closed until around 14:00. The tour will proceed on this day as well. Please note that there will be changes to the itinerary order and sightseeing locations, and the Komagatake Ropeway and Lake Ashi cruise may be changed to alternative itineraries. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.
• As there are locations to be visited on this tour such as Mt. Fuji 5th Station, etc. with lower temperatures compared to Tokyo, bringing warm clothing is recommended.

The itinerary is as described. Simple but gets you there. The guide Toshi-san was helpful and can communicate clearly in English. Our family was quite satisfied.

Although Mt. Fuji was obscured by clouds, the boat trip and gondola ride to a different summit were still memorable. Our guide was friendly and informativec.

Buyer beware of TRAIN TRIPS CANADA!
I booked a trip a trip with Train Trips Canada for August 2025 and paid a deposit of $4,200 US dollars. I was advised to purchase trip insurance which I did for another $1,800 US dollars.
I had to cancel my tip in May 2024 because of my Grandson's announced plan to get married during this time of my planned trip.
When I called Train Trips Canada to cancel and seek a refund, they told me my deposit was nonrefundable (even though the trip was 14 months away) and that I should seek my deposit refund from my trip insurance.
When I tried to get my refund through the trip insurance, I was DENIED because they did not accept the reason for my cancellation.
So, I am out $6,000 US dollars.
Don't ever book with Train Trips Canada or you will have a chance to be ripped off like I was.

Shoutout to our fabulous tour guide, Keiko Tamura, for an outstanding experience around Mount Fuji and the surrounding lakes. She made the tour meaningful, educational, and super fun. I even picked up some Japanese! She not only gave us a great tour but also ensured we each got to our desired destinations afterward, even walking me to a sushi restaurant. We are so glad to have joined the adventure. We made great memories and our host, Mari, She was so full of historical information as well as playing trivia of Japan mannerisms, to see what we knew. She was so funny with her giggles.
I would recommend this trip to everyone and to ask for Mari to get the full experience 🫰❤️

It was an enjoyable trip specially if you need a gateway from Tokyo and need help in arranging to seeing Mount Fuji and more scenic experience than the chaos and crowds in Tokyo. Our tour guide Joe was splendid throughout and was able to keep the group engaged with his jokes and knowledge. Will. Remember this tour for quite a while. Thanks Joe for guiding us during this trip!

Excellent tour and great way to visit Mt Fuji, Lake Ashi and get stunning views from the Ropeway. Tour leader/guide Pico was great. Informative well organized, ran on time and did everything as stated in the tour description.
