Your journey begins at the Mendes Ranch Corral, where you’ll be greeted by paniolos. Then, hop on your tame, gentle horse and follow your guides on a 1.5-hour trail ride!
8:45am Departure:
On your morning ride, canter up rolling pastures and down the edge of Waihee Valley to the coastline, where you’ll view the magnificent Pacific waters. Here, your guides will take photos of you with the majestic seascape in the background. You’ll then head back up to the corral.
11:30am or 12:15pm Departure:
On your afternoon ride, ride up into the mountains to the edge of a lush ravine at a 2,500 foot (762-meter) elevation. Here, you’ll see some of Maul's largest waterfalls in the distance.
Ride down along the edge of Waihee Valley, through taro patches and past plantation homes, before returning to the corral.

This was worth every penny! The guides were great, the horses were well behaved, and the views were spectacular! Circle M Ranch is beautiful and even has wild peacocks! We made great family memories.

Great experience for my 26th birthday with my Fiancé . I would highly recommend this ranch. Awesome staff, beautiful well behaved horses with their own unique personalities. Our family had a great time. It was our first time riding. The team there was fantastic, took their time showing us the proper way to handle and treat the horses with an emphasis on safety. Beautiful views and great horses. Would definitely recommend.

This is a unique experience, and it was our favorite of all our Maui activities. We had been on horses only a handful of times before, but our guide explained and demonstrated all we would need to know before we mounted. We saw beautiful views and learned how to ride and relate to our horses on the trail. If you are thinking of doing this, don't hesitate!

My instructor was awesome. He could catch the wind and was able to go up a little more and come down, which made it last a little longer. It was very beautiful, very relaxing.

The original tour got rained out so we rescheduled to the next day - unfortunately only half of our original group could make it but Teri was very communicative and helped us out quickly! Jordan Jacob Jodd Jackie and Chase were all clearly well-acquainted with the horses and attentive throughout tour stops and before during after the ride! It was impressive how long of a speech Chase memorized to teach everyone about the history of the ranch.
I had come to this ranch a few years back with my dad and sister, and back then they did a gallop up the hill on the way back. I was looking forward to that since I missed out last time (my horse didn't want to), but found out the ranch had changed ownership and horses the last couple years, rebranded to Circle M, but still retained many of the same animals and staff!

Over all a great excursion! Beware the terrain is very steep. The horses are very well trained for it, but it can be a little challenging.

Came to Maui on a girls’ trip & had the best time on our ride with Circle M Ranch. The ranch was convenient to access, the horses were well mannered and well taken care of. Our guides Jod & Chase went above & beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience - which we all did! In addition, the views were unbeatable. Highly recommend booking this horseback riding tour!
