Enjoy some of Mexico City’s must-see spots with our ‘Colors of Mexico’ adventure.

Your day begins in Coyoacán, one of Mexico’s most influential cities. As you wander its tree-lined streets, you’ll learn how this city played a part in historical empires like the Aztec and Spanish.

Then visit la Casa Azul (if option selected), Frida Kahlo’s home and now museum. We’ll immerse ourselves in the trailblazing life of one of Mexico’s most original artists.

From the inspired art of Frida Kahlo, we’ll head to the eye-catching Xochimilco and board a trajinera - a colorful, gondola-like boat - for a ride through the neighborhood’s famous canals. As you indulge in local treats , your guide will share the incredible details of what makes this area a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Before finishing the tour, walk around North America's oldest university and admire its Central Campus, another World Heritage site.

Loved all the stops! We started with visiting silver craft shop which I had no interest in buying from but meeting the artist there was an amazing experience. Lunch was at an extremely overpriced restaurant and I ended up going to a small local restaurant a 10 min walk away.

********PLEASE BE ADVISED THE FRIDA KAHLO MUSEUM IS CLOSED ON MONDAY********* This is not advertised anywhere in the description. You will not know the Frida Kahlo museum is closed until it's time to go and you see on your downloaded pdf ticket that the museum is closed. Just as the other reviews said it's a tourist trap with a lot of unwarranted stops, those reviews were telling the truth. It's a very long day when it doesn't have to be. The tour guide Christian is great. His partner, Letia she was "ok". She walked extremely fast to the point where our group was extremely spread out and every one was trying to keep up. Letia was suppose to be the English speaker, but her English was somewhat hard to follow.

Andy and Mario were great guides. So knowledgeable, passionate and making sure we were all happy.
Our groupe was pretty big but it was well managed and did not feel like too many people. We had enough time to go and walk around on our own as well during this tour.

I had an incredible experience with Christian and Leticia as our tour guide. They were knowledgeable, engaging, and made every moment of the tour enjoyable. They provided fascinating insights into the history and culture of the places we visited and was always ready to answer questions with enthusiasm and depth. Their friendly demeanor and professionalism truly enhanced the experience. I highly recommend Amigo Tours to anyone looking for an unforgettable tour!

A long day but with most of the time spent in the coach (which was comfortable to be far)

First stop was a tourist trap shop which was completely the wrong direction from everything else. This meant we didn't get to first actual stop on tour for over 2.5 hours after we left. Not the best use of time..

The rest of the tour was OK and the guides were nice..

Did allow a quick hit of a few attractions but wouldn't recommend overall.

This review is similar to some of the other 1 star reviews that are out there. We booked this because we wanted to see "Xochimilco, Coyoacán & Frida Kahlo Museum". This was a 10 hour tour, where we spent only 4 hours doing these activites. This included roughly: 1 hr at Xochimilco, 20 min at Coyoacan, and 1 hr at Frida Kahlo, with about an hour of travelling to get there.

The other 6 hours were driving driving 20 minutes out of the way to pick up 1 person, and then driving in the opposite direction for 30 minutes to see a silver smith shop, and having about an hour to look around. Then hitting a lot of traffic to make it to the university to see one mural for another 20 minutes. Then stopping for lunch in the middle of nowhere for some food. Which made no sense because Coyoacan had about 30 different cute restaurants to explore.

Save yourself the trouble and book a tour that only does "Xochimilco, Coyoacán & Frida Kahlo Museum" and don't spend most of the day on the bus doing other activities.

Also the bi-lingual tour was tough to follow. Every other sentence was English vs. Spanish. It would have been easier to follow if one short story was told in Spanish, and then told in English, so it wasn't flipping back and forth constantly every sentence.

Alan our tour guide was very informative, spoke very good English, and answered all our questions very thoroughly. I really enjoyed the boat ride in Xochimilco, great way to try local drinks and food. My favorite part of the tour was the Frida Kahlo Museum which is in Coyoacán. The only critique I have is I wish we had a bit more time to walk around Coyoacán and the museum and less time at the library. As a solo traveler I felt very safe the whole trip and Alan never forgot me even when I was late.

We only spent around 2 hours in the actual places described for the tour (Xochimilco, Frida Kahlo’s museum and Coyoacán); the rest of the time was spent in traffic and in a visit to a silver store which took an hour of the tour’s time without any important purpose. We were picked up at 8AM and we were dropped off around 7PM, so be prepared for a long day. No breakfast. No lunch (you get taken to a 1/5 restaurant for expensive buffet or a la carte). Tour started wrong with the unnecessary visit to the silver store, then to the Campus (where they decided to explain everything facing the sun), Xochimilco, Lunch Break, Coyoacán (we were only shown the church, nothing else) and Frida Kahlo’s museum for which the guides stayed outside.

Summary: Not worth it in my opinion, and would not recommend. Try to find separate tours, or just book one for Xochimilco, as Frida Kahlo is a private museum, and the tour guides would not go in with you.
