Our tour guide was really great. Yasa was great for our group as we were similar age. He was great at answering our questions about beautiful Bali and had told us about the history. We also enjoyed talking about New Zealand as we’re from there.

We chose the Bali instagram tour with Forever Bali through Viator as this looked to cover most things in a single day trip. It was an early pick up at 0400hrs from Sanur and our first stop was Lempuyang Temple (gates of heaven), we arrived just after 0530hrs the place was already busy and we joined the queue at number 11 to have our photos taken, by 0630 you would have been over a hundredth in the queue which I am told could take between 2 & 3 hours for your turn, so if you want these photos get there very early. The next stops were as follows. Jungle swing & giant birds nest tickets. These overlooked the rice terraces. Coffee plantation. Your were given I quick guide to what produces were grown on site and then we tried 13 coffee and teas including the Kopi Luwak but you had to pay for this one yourselves, you were then whisked off to the shop for your purchases. Waterfall (Tukad Capung) To get to the waterfall you had to negotiate some step steps and a trail to get there, you had the option of walking in to the waterfall and man made pool if you wished. Tirtagangga (former Royal Palace) water gardens. This was a very tranquil place with lots of ponds with Koi Carp that you could feed as well as having your photos taken on stepping stones through the ponds. We chose not to do the last stop which was either jewellery making, wood caving or painting. Our guide was Peter, he was informative and looked after us very well, he gave us space as well which was nice, 10/10 from me for Peter. If you want a quick whistle stop tour that covers all the main points then this is the tour for you.
