Stop At: Trip Store Krabi, 508 Slingkarn Patana Road, Krabi Town 81000 Thailand
Get picked up from the hotel in Krabi and drive to Khao Sok National Park on road with short stopovers at the fresh water stream of Tha Pom Klong Song Nam and at the famous Wat Bang Riang, a beautiful hilltop temple on Khao Lan Mountain in Thap Put.
Arrive in Khao Sok National Park and enjoy a traditional Thai lunch at the jungle hut near the Sok River where you will also stay for overnight. Check-in at the jungle bungalow and, after a short break, drive to the scenic Khao Sok Viewpoint to take beautiful photos of the amazing panorama.
The highlight of this day is a hike into the lush green rainforest of Khao Sok National Park. Trek 3 hours along rainforest trails deep into the valley's stunning scenery lead by an experienced guide who will explain you about the flora and fauna of the oldest evergreen rainforest in Thailand. Head back to the jungle hut for a well-deserved dinner with healthy Thai food. Settle in the cozy bungalow with the noises of the jungle.
The next morning, enjoy a rich and vitalising breakfast. Then it's time to put your swimsuit on and gentle float down the Khao Sok River. The journey takes you past towering cliffs and shoals of brightly colored river fish, and includes a stop to swim in the cool waters. Regain your strength with a tasty lunch before heading to the floating raft houses on Cheow Lan Lake. During the cruise you will see amazing landscapes and wonderful nature.
Check-in at your raft house and take a refreshing dip in the lake. You will have time to explore the surrounding area by canoe before starting the evening lake safari. You are likely to spot hornbills which are commonly seen in the old-growth jungle trees at the water's edge. Back at the raft house, enjoy a dinner in the local restaurant. Sleep in a simple floating bungalow on Cheow Lan Lake, with fan and shared bath room.
After a well-deserved deep slumber, do a sightseeing trip by longtail boat to enjoy the early morning mist on the still lake. It's now time for a rich, vitalise breakfast to strengthen yourself for the next adventure. Follow a mini jungle trail into the breathtaking Pra Kay Petch Cave which winds deep into the interior of Khao Sok National Park. You will be able to spot Jurassic insects, butterflies and rare birds.
Next you’ll strap on your headlamps. Prepare to get wet, as the hike extends through the “water cave” (dry season only) and soon becomes a dark wonderland. This is an excellent time to view the many nocturnal species that inhabit this cave (from a safe distance of course) and cool yourself in the river as you explore.
Complete your eco adventure with a lunch before heading back to Krabi with drop-off at your hotel at approx. 17.00.

If you stay at Railay Beach, we offer a pickup service from the boat ticket office at Ao Nam Mao Pier which is just a 15-minute longtail boat ride from Railay East.

Absolutely fabulous trip. We were extremely lucky to have Padet as our guide. Extremely friendly and enthusiastic about teaching us all about the areas we were exploring. He and the other staff on our trip clearly had a genuine desire for us to have a great time. We saw some very beautiful places and some of these were the highlights of our overall trip to Thailand. We had some departures from the expected itinerary so come prepared to be flexible!

Our guide Pradet and driver Sompong were excellent and you really couldn’t meet nicer. We saw and did so much in such a short space of time…mangroves, temples, hiking, kayaking, plants and trees, bats, spiders, monkeys and more… and the highlight of seeing an elephant in the wild. Not to mention the delicious food and amazing scenery. As a family we highly recommend this tour, you will enjoy every minute. Thanks Pradet and Sompong.

Highly recommend this experience for those who enjoy scenic beauty and adventure. The guide was efficient and each activity was enjoyable. The food at the jungle retreat was delicious. Accommodation at the floating bungalows is very basic and the washroom situation could be improved. A little minor discomfort was worth it however, as the scenery is truly spectacular.

The places we visited were so beautiful. Our guide Pradet K was so knowledgeable and competent. And he was fun .
This tour was an immersion in nature, experiencing jungle, lake and rivers.

We would highly recommend this tour! This will definitely go down as a highlight for our trip to Thailand. We started off with pick up in Krabi, and then on our way to the jungle retreat. We stopped at a beautiful temple. After experiencing the temples in Bangkok getting to go to this one which was pretty secluded not a lot of people. It was such a different experience and one I am so grateful we got to have. Then we stopped at a cave where we got to feed fish. My kids met one of the stray dogs whom they loved!
The jungle retreat was so wonderful! The food was absolutely incredible some of the best of our trip. Our tour guide let us have rest time when we needed it, but filled our days with such fun activities like kayaking, swimming, and hiking. We really got to see a part of Thailand that it felt like we wouldn’t have seen had we not booked this trip.
As we ventured out to the lake retreat, we took a beautiful drive, followed by an even more beautiful boat ride to the cabins over the lake. Our pictures did not capture the stunning beauty that surrounded us. Everything about the lake was spectacular. The cabins were so perfect sleeping on the water, our day at the lake also included a boat tour around the lake where we saw plenty of wildlife on the shorelines. We also explored an incredibly cool cave with lots of bats. 🦇
Our tour guide, and driver were so wonderful and accommodating! They were beyond friendly and so wonderful to everyone in our family!!
If I would’ve done anything differently, I would recommend having bathing suit underneath clothes. Even for things that don’t seem like they’re going to be wet activities. We did have some wet clothing by the time we returned, but we came back to Krabi where we just did laundry.
All in all, this was an incredible experience I would highly recommend!

Great experience and fun. We could have stayed in the lake huds for a weeks.. to see the oldest rainforest in the world with all these animals. This trip will never be forgotten. Thank you, Chai!!
