Itinerary
Day 1: CUSCO - WIÑAYHUAYNA - AGUAS CALIENTES
Pass By: Aguas Calientes, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region
We pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to travel for 2 hours to the Ollantaytambo train station. There, we board a train and continued until kilometer 104, where there is the control point of the Inca Trail. We cross the Vilcanota River by a bridge and start the Inca Trail!
The first archeological site to visit is Chachabamba. Then we continue through a mixture of cactus vegetation and a cloud forest to another significant Inca site: Wiñayhuayna. But before arriving, we enjoy the freshness of a local waterfall. Where you have lunch and rest.
Later, we can admire the sunset over Machu Picchu when we arrive at the ‘Inti Punku’ (Sun Gate) before entering to Machu Picchu. However, today is too late to have a guided tour of this overwhelming Inca city, so we slowly descend to the town of Aguas Calientes enjoying the beautiful surrounding landscape along the way. We spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 2: MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
We wake up early in the morning to have breakfast and continue walking along the Inca Trail for approximately 2 hours to the mysterious city of Machu Picchu, where we get the best photos of sunrise in the morning. Then, our tour guide shows us the Inca city and explains its history and its purposes. After the guided tour, we have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own.
The 2-day Inca Trail ends with a train trip to Ollantaytambo, from where the transfer take you on a van back to Cusco.
After the visit you have time to lunch and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where the driver will be waiting for you to take you to Cusco. We arrive to Cusco at 18:00 hours

We had n amazing time. The walking is amazing and our Guide Henry made it a unique Experience. He explained a lot and although he has more then 1000! Times been to Machu Picchu he spread so much energy and enthusiasm.

I had a fantastic time on the 2 day Inca trail with Machu Piccu. Henry was our guide and made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable. It was challenging, but anyone in decent physical condition can make the hike. I have to say this one probably the most memorable experience I have had. By the way, I am 64 years old and made it, you can make it as well.

Thank you Henry for this unforgettable tour! We had a lot of fun and on the same time Henry gave us a lot of information. He motivated us the whole 13km trail with champion-music to make it for us as easy as he can.

My partner and I visited from the states to do the 2 day 1 night Inca trail. Herbert was our guide, and he was absolutely incredible. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and very personable. If able, I recommend requesting him as your guide! He kept a great pace, and was very aware of the surroundings & others around us. He has great expertise on the Incan history & will be able to answer any and all questions!!
Not to mention- he was our professional photographer on the way! He took the BEST photos :)
Efrain was also a great driver, highly recommend! Drives very safe & is highly educated on the area around Cusco.

An AMAZING tour guided by Juan de dios. Hike took us along the Inca trail which provided all types of vistas, from Mountain Views to Inca sites. An amazing experience and even greater memories were made!

Amazing trip! Well coordinated and smooth the entire way. Juan de dios was an excellent guide who was very patient with our endless questions about flowers along the trail. Bring more water than you think you need!!

Me and my friends had a great time with juan de dios. We did the 2 day tour and he was very helpful and motivating on the hike. He also taught us a lot about the different flora fauna of the area as well as the history of the Inca empire. Highly recommend :)
