Just returned from the 5 day ultimate Scottish Highlands tour run by Highland Experience. It was absolutely the best! Our driver/guide - Iain - was awesome ! So knowledgeable, made it all so much fun and was the best tour I have been on in many years. The itinerary and stops were all fantastic, with incredible stories and information timed just perfectly before arrival at each stop. Iain is a very proud born and bred Scot, who was so happy and excited to be showing us his beloved Scotland including many stories of his family trips at many of the locations! Also, staff in office are also amazing - go above and beyond in communication, assistance and even assisted me with a passport issue (I left it behind in Inverness and didn’t realise for 2 days. The office organised one of their tour drivers to pick it up and bring it back to Edinburgh for me!) cannot speak highly enough of the whole organisation! I’ll be back and would recommend this company to everyone !

We booked, my wife and I, a 5 day trip, departing from Edinburgh. I can recommend you this trip, warmly. Our guide, Alex from the company Highlands Experience Tours was really helpful, friendly, professional as well as knowledgeable, and the hell of a driver; especially on these single tracks on the Isle of Skye. This trip is definitely well designed with truly enjoyable highlights such as Loch Lommond, Glencoe, Glenfinnan, the Isle of Skye (2 days), Loch Ness, Inverness or Pitlochry. Landscapes are beautiful and amazing. Scots we met on the trip are authentic and welcoming people. A truly beautiful and unforgettable experience that I warmly recommend to fellow travellers who want to visit Scotland.

Even though we all paid the same amount for the 5 day tour, we had very different experiences. We didn’t know until we were on the bus that our group would be staying at up to 6 different B&Bs each evening. It’s understandable that we would need a number of different accommodations since some of the towns were small, but the quality was vastly different. Some of the accommodations included a full hot Scottish breakfast, some only had cold cereal, power bars and instant coffee for you to make yourself (that happened to us twice) with the final B&B was totally vegan. We were gracious and tried the food, but it wouldn’t have been our choice. The accommodations were also in several town so the bus driver/tour guide dropped us off at a market so we could buy our dinner and breakfast to take with us since nothing would be in walking distance (several people went without dinner because they didn’t know the circumstances where they were to be dropped off). Some of the accommodations didn’t even have a community room so the night was spent in one’s own room. All of the choices were made for us — without our input. Some of the people on the bus had received an itinerary and knew which B&B they would be staying in. We didn’t and it seemed those who booked through Trip Advisor didn’t either. I booked several weeks before our friends did, but they lucked out with better accommodations 3 of the 4 nights, so I know they didn’t give the best accommodations to early bookers. The good parts of the trip were the people and the scenery Our driver/tour guide also was very conscientious and saved us from a head on crash from someone driving on the wrong side of the road. Thank you Brody for your driving attention. He has a ways to go as a tour guide but he saved the day even though he had two jobs to do.

This tour company deserves more than 5 stars. Our guide Rory was organized, informative, entertaining, patient, and most of all fun. Our group was just 16 people, so we were able to tour with ease. Our accommodations were excellent. We were given ample free time on our stops which were carefully planned for maximum enjoyment and touring benefit I cannot say enough good things about our trip. There were NO downsides.

The entire experience was well organised & we could not have possibly seen more or organised our Scotland trip better than that which we experienced. We saw so much in the five day tour and it was way beyond our expectations. The tour guide (Brodie Reilly) was very interactive with the group, he was extremely accommodating, patient and knowledgeable about the subject matter. The entire experience was seamless and we are confident that we could not have made a better decision than to choose the Viator tour and we were extremely fortunate to have Brodie as our guide. Most importantly, we were confident in his care and had no stress whatsoever, which allowed us to enjoy our holiday. We spent 5 weeks away on our Europe trip, and our 5 day Scotland tour was the most memorable. Thank you Brodie for making our experience so memorable and one which we will never forget.

My husband and I took the 5-day Scottish Choice tour and it was absolutely fantastic. Our tour guide 'Wee Stevie' was amazing - hilarious and super knowledgeable about the places we visited. The pacing of the tour was great - we got to see so many sites with plenty of time to explore each one, never feeling rushed. The accommodations booked by the tour company were all wonderful. Would 100% book another tour with them!

Isle of Skye was very scenic. Would have liked to opportunity to do some of the walks. The pace of the tour was very slow.Too many stops at boring castles.Took 8 hours to complete 80 miles one day.
