What can you say about such an emotional and gut wrenching experience. We took the early morning guided tour where we could experience the essence of the museum with fewer people to witness the tears. It is well worth it.

This tour is a must if you go to New York. The memorial is so well thought out; the caring and love that when into this is evident in every inch of the memorial. A very emotional experience.

$33 US for a ticket. Ouch.
But it’s quite well done. The highlight for us was a 12 min video of the boat evacuation from Manhattan - something I wasn’t aware of before. There were also some other items of maps etc that I hadn’t seen before.
The room with names and photos of the victims was powerful and the room with all the competing radio, tv and voicemail messages was powerful.
Some excellent displays.
The gift shop was a bit tacky. Some flags / ok, but coffee cups? Really?
Honestly, it should be free to encourage as many as possible to remember those killed. We will never forget.

We didn’t wait in the queue, and were able to go directly to the museum. It was an emotional experience !

An emotional but informative experience! Myself & my partner knew we wanted to visit the museum, but we didn’t realise how massive & full of information it was!
My first time to NY and knew this was such a sad day in history, but was somewhat nice to be able to shed a tear and show my respects. Learnt lots about Sept 2001 that I didn’t know before.
Just take your tissues, it’s expected!!

You can't go to New York without visiting the 9/11 museum and memorial. We pre booked tickets and due to transport issues arrived a little past our time slot but there was no problem getting in. Visited on a Saturday but it wasn't over busy and there was no queing.
The museum is spacious and of course very poignant. You get an excellent view of all aspects of the events of 9/11 along with items and objects from that fateful day. You also feel the solidarity and resilience of the US people/residents.
The highlight was listening to one of the museum workers' first-hand experience of being a survivor of the 9/11 attacks.
Although the memorial pools are worth a visit alone, don't miss out on the museum.

The whole reason I wanted to go to new York was to pay my respects to all those people that didn’t make it home that day it’s touched my heart since I was a young girl in school that day hearing the awful news from the other side of the world ♥️ such an emotional experience but one of the best things I have ever done so many different stories told behind all the evidence of that fateful day.
A lot of pictures taken in the museum also some areas where photographs are forbidden .
We used city passes to enter the museum.

We loved the museum. There was so much to see and take in during our visit. It felt very calm and solemn there and I would recommend it to others.
