This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Arataki Visitor Centre - Waitakere Ranges, 300 Scenic Drive, Nihotupu, Piha, Auckland 0604 New Zealand
Enjoy amazing views and hear about the history of the Waitakere Ranges at the first stop on this tour
(Please note the Centre is closed until 2 December 2023 - we are currently visiting the exterior of the centre however where you can see the view and beautiful pou/ Maori carvings)
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Waitakere Ranges, Piha 0772, New Zealand
Enjoy a easy walk through the rainforest of the Waitakere Ranges (The walk is currently located at the Arataki Visitor Centre).
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Piha Beach, Piha, Auckland New Zealand
Walk along the black sand beach of Piha Beach (30 minutes) & time for afternoon tea refreshments
Duration: 40 minutes
Pass By: Bush and Beach, Auckland Central, Auckland 0650 New Zealand
Enjoy a half day tour with Bush and Beach - During the afternoon we also include a New Zealand style afternoon tea including biscuits (cookies), manuka honey and tea and coffee or juice.
As well as keeping you entertained and informed our guides make sure you have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and make sure there are lots of photo opportunities. We have been running tours in this area for over 37 years so you will be being looked after by the local experts.

Pick ups from inner city Auckland hotels are between 12 - 12.25pm. You MUST contact us to arrange a specific pick up time for your location as the tour departs the city at 12.30pm.
The above list does not include all pick up hotel locations - Pick up is included from most inner city Auckland accommodation - please advise where you are staying and we can give you a pick up time or meeting location.

This was a really fun way to get out of the city. Erin and Kevin were spectacular guides and made the trip really fun. Piha beach was definitely the highlight of the trip for me; it was absolutely beautiful and the beach wasn't very crowded while we were there. I would absolutely recommend this trip as an afternoon activity.

I liked the countyside, but had the feeling that the black sand beach was not really black and the rain forest was quite dry, but, nevertheless, a nice half-day trip with an excellent driver.

Great tour. They ensured that we get to understand the flora and fauna in the rainforest of Waitakere Ranges. They also provided us with delicious coffee and snacks along the trio. They were also very caring in ensuring raincoats, blankets were provided if we got too cold.
Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic time on the Piha Beach and Rainforest Tour! Both guides were not only knowledgeable and funny, but also incredibly helpful. 🤗 The refreshments - cookies, tea, and coffee at Piha Beach were a delightful treat. 🍪☕️ The breathtaking views at Arataki Center and the tranquil beach stroll were highlights of the trip. Highly recommend for a wonderfully fun and informative experience!

The scenery was beautiful. We had never seen a black sand beach and it did not disappoint. The rain forest was also very good. Our tour guide,Chris, was so knowledgeable about all of the native species. Highly recommend!!

What a lovely day! Two beautiful spots to take in some of New Zealand’s landscape and wildlife. The guides were fantastic and made the day even more enjoyable. Not too far from the Auckland CBC, this tour is a great mini getaway.
