Very good park always a good time but I’m a golden pass holder and I have to say that the food price have gone up even more 8 pound for a burger last season which is a joke anyways now 12 pound for a burger I draw the line great day out just don’t eat there people paying the prices is why they get away with it joke tbh other than food amazing day out

Alton towers is a great park, beautiful areas and plenty of great rides, first time we managed to ride them all I think this was down to the weather and we went during the week, in the past the park has been rammed and que times where a lot longer. Parking is now £10 which I find very expensive considering you've paid a small fortune for the tickets, Alron towers why have you increased this to £10 ?? Also the food is so expensive there's no need to increase prices this high try to pack a lunch unless you want to pay on average £15/£20 per person for food Apart from the silly prices we had a fabulous day.

I thought I would write a review for Alton Towers as a plus size lady as I struggled to find any recent reviews. I carry most of weight on my bottom half around a size 18 / 20 but a smaller bust. We arrived at around 9.40 and got the monorail to the entrance or you can walk which is about 20/25 minutes. Parking for all day is £10. I bought in advance but you can also buy when your there. Food and drink is very expensive as expected so be expected to pay or just take a packed lunch. Plenty of water filling stations around. A bottle of diet coke for £3.50 and a can of Fanta was £2.50 A cup of tea was £3 Queue times were great today the longest we waited was about 25 minutes. Download the app as it is very helpful. Directions to each part of the park and queue times for all rides. We went on miler 3 times The new nemesis reborn 3 times And all the others once. The only rides we didn't manage were Wickerman and Rita because they kept closing! Now for sizing!! .....Nemesis we were front row seat was tight on my bum but it was fine. I found when we sat in a different row it was a litter bigger. Galactica - so all reviews said this is the one anyone with a bit of weight struggles with. I tried the tester seat and it was fine but then on the actual ride it wouldn't click so I couldn't go on it. I was so upset but the staff were lovely about it. However when I turned to get off I noticed a few having to get off to! I would suggest it you are size 16 and above not to bother with this one. Its not catered for larger people at all. Smiler - no issues at all Oblivion - the tester seat is smaller then the actual ride seat. So if you are ok in the tester seat you'll be fine on the actual ride. Thirteen - absolutely fine Nemesis sub tera - it's an over the head lap bar. Very snug but it was fine. I'm actually a general fit person (gym 5 times a week) however the walking killed me off 22,000 later I'm knackered but had a fantastic day. We'll definitely be back , however would like to see Alton towers become more size inclusive

Me and my partner came down to Alton towers for the week as little holiday and decided to have dinner in the roller coaster evening one night. Our server Ruth was beyond amazing, her customer service was on point and made the perfect end to our day at the resort :)

My last visit to Alton Towers was around 17 years ago and I loved it then, I came back with my children and Grandson yesterday and we literally had the best day out and so we will be returning again next month. Cbeebies Land was soo much fun and my kids and Grandson had an absolute blast going round the land. I have 2 children with autism, one boy who is 12 and one who is 4 and the characters that walked around the park couldn't have been more welcoming if they tried. This really made my children's day. The shows that ran were brilliant fun from Teletubbies to Bing to Dugee. Peter Rabbit hopper and Octonauts rollorcoaster definitely won the day for the best rides from my 4 and 9 year old who rode them 5 times each and still hadn't had enough after 6 hours ... The park has seen a massive upgrade since my last visit with added rides like Wickerman, 13, Hex, Mutiny Bay and Sealife, David Walliams, Cbeebies theme area etc and these are soo worth the money to visit. The only part I would say is a massive let down to the park is the Monorail. I remember when the excitement to the park began at the rail station and entering the train. With the theme parks trade music playing loudly and clean crisp trains that you could see clearly out of, this build up, set visitors up for the day, now after telling my kids all about the exciting train lead up yesterday, I was gutted to see that it's been left to ruin like a dirty subway station with the monorail carriages having some strange dark tinted bird windows that the kids couldn't see out of properly and some quiet tannoy announcement over the speaker, chairs that have seen better days and a scruffy station. With all the money that gets invested into this brilliant theme park, please invest some into this as I always remember the feeling of excitement boarding these carriages riding to the entrance and its sad to have seen it left to get in this state. But overall incredible day out and will 100 percent be returning very soon

Great theme park with a good variety of rollercoasters to choose from, waiting times were very good for all the rides we went on, a shame about the sky ride not being available and not being able to get on rita due to some technical issues, but still an excellent day had a good enough time to walk round the park and will definitely be back

All the reviews seem quite positive but I didn’t see any that represent Old, disabled or foreign visitors. I am however all of the above and my love for Theme Parks span 7 decades beginning with California’s Disneyland. Alton Towers by far is most impressive in that anyone that goes there are greeted by staff in every sector with unadulterated happiness. Of all the parks around the world, it is the happiest place to go. Access for a physically disabled person is beyond the expected. Not only do they allow easy access but actually make one feel they are not hindered. It makes the day so much more enjoyable when out with friends & family. It’s nice to be “normal”! I have visited 3 times in the last 12 days with another planned later this month. With quite a few attractions there is something for everyone, including OAPs but the best part is how we were treated by everyone we met, the staff are all amazing people making sure everyone enjoys their day. I’ve since bought an annual pass & invited friends from afar to spend a day out with me. What more can I say? Plenty more. Thank you Alton Towers for the enjoyment of a day out.

Alton towers is a great day out with friends and family. The themes are stunning and so much effort is put into providing a great experience. There were a few issues with the rides but all were fixed very fast and we managed to get on all the big rides and everything that we wanted to get on. Second visit this year and will be back before season ends

Had the best day here with the family! Beautiful clean park with so many great rides for all ages! If we were to come again we would definitely get the two day pass as ran out of time and missed one of the big ones!
