Absolutely fantastic 2 night stay at the Enchanted village and theme park for my grandsons birthday, we had warm and very friendly welcome, the lodge was spotless, warm peaceful and beautifully decorated. The breakfast at the crooked spoon was AWESOME!! and the customer service from the staff is world class, did I say the breakfast was awesome?!

We are just back from Alton Towers. We visited from Scotland for the first time. My daughter loves amusement parks and evey year on her birthday we visit one. It was disappointing. The gardens and grass are very unkept and not as beautiful as other parks. There is quite a distance between the attractions and there is no time to see everything especially with the park closing at 4. We stayed at the splashlandings Hotel. No benefit whatsoever! You still need to pay for the park entrance. The hotel was clean except for the black mold around the bath tub. Very dated everything. No updates for the last 25 years except the new rollercosters. The staff were friendly and helpful but the inclusive breakfast was very poor quality. The cheapest nastiest sausages I ever had in my life. Not worth the money. Better go to Disneyland or Tivoli in Copenhagen.

Wanted to go on here to mention one of the staff who was super helpful and polite, his name was Dominic Poxxs, and he helped me out at guest services during my stay.

5/5 for Alton Towers because it was an amazing day out we went for the weekend and went through the Galactica Entrance and got onto Nemesis Reborn (a very good ride) we managed to do the big 7 in 1 day! The park was super clean and almost no litter anywhere. The merch is amazing and lots of choice it's a shame the nemesis Reborn shop shut bang on 5:00 PM. The queues were short we managed to do oblivion and smiler 3 times, more if we had wanted. The Bug And the octonauts vehicle and the post man pat van outside the monorail station which I really hope they return. In conclusion Alton Towers Resort is worth going and an amazing short break

Great park, got plenty of rides done. Be warned though, food and drinks are expensive, £3.30 for a bottle of coke, £12+ for a burger+fries and drink). Just take your own in to the park, much cheaper. 👍

Alton Towers is a really good and beautiful theme park with top quality roller coasters combined with lots of nature in between. The very spacious layout with the beautiful castle in the middle made the walk from themed area to another very pleasant during our two days. The giant gardens was also a great place to wander around for the non roller coaster fans, while the others could do the attractions. We slept on site in the enchanted village lodges, and it was a pleasant stay. Except for the food, which was just ok for breakfast, but not worth dining (with the exception of the roller coaster restaurant which was amazing). But overall, we had a fantastic experience in one of the most beautiful theme park resorts in the world!

Had a great time with my wife and young four year old son during a visit to Alton Towers. Park was very busy but we knew this when booking so just had to keep our son entertained during the long queuing times. Lots to do and plenty rides to go on. Spend most of our time in CBeebies land where naturally it is a bit quieter. Only downside is that the price for food and drink is ridiculous. They know you are ripping you off and don’t hide it with the prices. Take your own snacks in to avoid paying the prices

Our third visit to the park in 6 years and another extraordinary one! We utilised a silver fastpass on the first day and it was worth every penny! I've been building up to becoming a rider for years and finally braved Smiler and Nemesis (the latter is now my favourite thing ever to the point of hugging my harness at the end of the ride). We have dinner booked later but love The Crooked Spoon anyway. Day 2 was a deliberate slow one where we aimed to do less rides and more shopping as we knew we'd be tired. EVERYTHING in the park went to plan both days. On day 1 we had 8 rides including 6 of the big 7 and Katanga Canyon completed. We'd have done Oblivion but I am not brave enough for that!! Day 2 we rerode Smiler(individual fastpasses there as the Smiler queue line causes my sensory issues to trigger), Rita (special shoutout to Ian and Lewis for letting us come back in the fastpass queue when we were the only riders to try and wait for her to come back up), Wicker Man and Nemesis twice because well Nemesis. We have much, much lighter pockets and much, much heavier bags with merch from almost every ride. The only issue we've had was we had to give up our reservation in Flambos due to the overzealous atmosphere and crowded area caused us to feel uncomfortable so we attempted (accepting it was a big ask) to ask the staff at ATH to help us find somewhere else to eat. They told us they had called Crooked Spoon who would seat us but were turned away on arrival and told they'd never had any such call which made us feel like we'd been called liars and were quite sad by the interaction (I will not name this staff member here). We finally got to eat at 10pm after a takeaway arrived at long last! However since we have paid a LOT of money to be here and this is the only negative interaction we've had in 3 visits this is still very much a 5* review. We don't get away often and live 3 hours from here so when we come we insist on being happy no matter what. Smile always!! Thanks again Alton Towers. We'll be back with a vengeance!
