The tour is a long day and takes in a lot. In hindsight I wish we’d skipped Avila and spent more time in Segovia, which is gorgeous. My biggest beef: our tour guides did not speak very good English, which diminished the overall experience. In Segovia we finally broke off and explored on our own.

Great tour, ran on schedule and enough time to see everything. I liked Segovia more but a good intro to both cities. Our guide Martha explained the history well and pointed us to the ig worthy areas. There is a bit of walking uphill and downhill so wear comfortable shoes. I did see some older couples (75+ my guess at their age they could of been young looking 90 yo) struggle to keep up with the tour.

Great trip. Everything was well-organized and on schedule. The views in Segovia were breathtaking. Our guide Martha was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed her telling us many interesting facts from the history of Spain. It was not boring because she has a good sense of humor. Memorable trip.

Highly effective way to get to Avila and Segovia without trains and Uber. We were on a full double deck bus with more than sixty people, so crowded. We broke into groups of around twenty. The guides were very good with lots of specific information. Be prepared to walk about 12,000 steps. The snack was a piece of bread and a slice of cold egg frittata. We were shown a suckling pig dinner plate (specialty of Avila) with a large piece of pork and a large amount of fries and we ordered one for 2 of us. What came, and what we were charged for, 28€, was 1/2 of the shown order. Disappointing.

We were staying in Madrid and wanted to see a couple more cities while in Spain without having to check out and transfer hotels. This tour provides a great way to see Avila and Segovia. The two towns are small enough that you can definitely do in a one day tour. Highly recommend.
