Day 1: City tour: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Hutongs area &Temple of Heaven
Stop At: Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), West Changan Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100006 China
Meet your guide in hotel lobby, start tour from Tian’anmen Square which is considered as the largest public square in the world. Get stories and background information from your private guide.

Stop At: Temple of Heaven, Tiantan Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100050 China
Temple of Heaven is the largest Imperial place of worship from ancient times, which is a place for ancient Ming and Qing dynasties emperors pray for good harvest. Now, it is also a park where the local community utilizes this beautiful and enormous space for social activities such as singing, dancing, and Tai chi practice exercise.

Stop At: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China
Forbidden City, the largest Imperial Palace in the world. You will spend a couple of hours wandering around this amazing example of Imperial architecture and learning about the history of the palace.
For around 500 years , it served as the home of emperors and their households from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.
Tour route: Forbidden City is divided into two parts.
The southern section, or the Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation.
The northern section, or the Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family.

Stop At: Shichahai Scenic Resort, Yangfang Lane, Xicheng District, Beijing 100009 China
Hutong is a Mongolian word meaning water well. At nine meters (about 30 feet) wide, it is the name given to a lane or small street that originated during the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368). Walk around old Beijing hutong nearby Shichahai Lake. Now they have become representatives of local culture, thus it is still the first choice for people who would like to learn about the local history and culture.

Day 2: Mutianyu Great Wall & Summer Palace
Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China
Mutianyu Great Wall is a one of the most famous and popular sections of China Great Wall.
You will have your own choice of taking the cable car or chair lift up to the breathtaking wall, spend 1 to 2 hours leisurely hiking up and down the various sections to explore the Watch Towers, admire at the construction of marveling beauty of the renown and legendary Wall.
After hiking, You will have option of an exhilarating toboggan ride back down or just simply return the way you came.

Stop At: Summer Palace (Yiheyuan), No.19 Xinjian Gongmen Road, Haidian District, Beijing 100080 China
Summer Palace is a summer resort for Imperial family Members from emperor, which is considered as the best preserved Imperial Park with amazing garden art senery.
Duration: 1 hour

We had an amazing 2 day trip visiting the Panlongshan and Simatai Great Wall. Justin was our guide and he ensured we had the authentic experience we wanted while hiking along the wall or visiting the Gubeikou Water, and later on while visiting the Summer Palace and Tiananmen Square . He also took care of all the arrangements with the hotel checking in and tickets along the way. Our driver was very good and we had a smoke free car, as requested . Both Justin and driver were very welcoming and friendly, very punctual and professional.

There were two wonderful tours with local guide Justin. We would like to thank you for all the experiences we had, from the delicious Chinese cuisine to the beautiful tour of the Forbidden City, full of ancient stories, which allowed us to get closer to the extraordinary Chinese culture. Our tour guide Kathy Zheng is professional and well prepared. Her narration was clear and interesting, we had such a good time going around Beijing with her. We could tell she has so much love for history and her country, and our family learnt so much from her. As for logistics, Kathy had all the tickets prepared which made entry to tourist attractions very smooth. We travelled with two elderly and a child. Kathy was thoughtful, and even managed to arrange for a wheelchair rental as my father had difficulties walking long distances during our tour to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. We really appreciate Kathy and recommend the tour to anyone who wants to visit the sites on the itinerary. The lunch places she brought us too were very local and we liked it very much. She even recommended other eateries near our hotels for us to try. Also thanks to Liu shifu and Lu shifu, they drove safely and were always punctual and considerate. Their vehicles were in good condition, very clean and well maintained. I would hire them again when I visit Beijing again in the future. Thanks Kathy and team!

Visiting Beijing’s Forbidden City, Summer Palace, and the Great Wall with family was an unforgettable experience. We are family 4 with two children 8 and 11. Jenny our tour guide provided fascinating insights into China’s past while allowing us to bond and create lasting memories together. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Beijing!!

I came to Beijing for 1.5 days only to visit the sites. The tour was organised really well. Cindi was very knowledgeable and patient. We visited the Great Wall, summer palace, Tiananmen Square, mansion of prince Gung and the gardens that overlook the forbidden city. We also made a quick stop at the zoo to see the giant pandas!
The cars were very comfortable and very accommodating to my schedule and requirements.
Definitely recommend for tours in Beijing

Our experience in Beijing was greatly enhanced by the exceptional service of our tour guide, Peter. His expertise and knowledge of the sites we visited were truly remarkable. Additionally, the local restaurants he recommended for lunch were authentic and flavorful. We booked this tour only 4 days before the trip, so we didn't get the tickets to the Forbidden City. However, our 2 day itinerary covered the other key sights and we had a great time. Kathy Zheng was our guide and she provided in-depth historical details for every place we visited. Entering each tourist destination was seamless as Kathy had pre-booked all tickets. The restaurants she recommended in the Hutong and at the Great Wall (Mutianyu) were also authentic and tasty. Kathy was very kind and patient with our kids as well. Our driver, Mr Li, was very courteous, drove safely, and his Buick was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend booking a private tour with Catherine Lu's company.

Excellent service. We booked a 1.5 days private tour and visited all places in Beijing with tour guide Angel. Angel did an amazing job, pre-arranged everything for us and provided the perfect amount information for every place we visited. Very friendly and fun to be around with. Excellent job. We will definitely book it again and highly recommend the service from Catherine and Angel.

We had a short 2 and a half day trip to Beijing with our three boys and wanted to see the key highlights as conveniently and efficiently as possible. Right from making the booking, we had regular communication about how we would like to tailor the tour. We had a great driver and comfortable car. Sonia was an amazing guide. She was very knowledgeable and funny and was able to very efficiently get us around the sights without feeling rushed at all. She was able to engage our kids with the history of each location as well which we appreciated tremendously and the pictures she took of us were amazing! We made so many memories and Sonia and Catherine Lu tours helped us make them. Thank you.
