This tour really packed a lot into a limited time. We did not feel rushed and in fact had plenty of time to check out the main things to see in Budapest. We didn't have enough time on this trip to check out more of Hungary, but we recommend this tour to get a taste and leave you wanting to come back. Our driver and guide, Peter, was funny, knowledgeable, and really tried to make personal connections with those on the tour. Highly recommend.

Excellent trip. Our guide Marco had vast knowledge of Austria and Hungarian history. Very informative. Very professional. I never felt rushed to do things and explore. I was picked up from my hotel in a timely manner. Highly recommended... A must do when in Vienna.

This tour was a nice way to capture the highlights of Budapest in a short amount of time. Marco was our driver and he provided an excellent insight on the history and sights of Budapest. He also made sure everyone was hydrated by offering free bottled water. We had enough time to visit the St Stephen's Basilica and we had about 3 hours of personal to explore Budapest on our own.

This was one of the best day trips we have ever been on. Tons of information about Budapest and Hungary. There was so much history and culture. Our tour guide/driver Marcus made it so easy and plus, he kept you laughing always! We had free time and did not feel “controlled”. This tour company is great. Keeps you informed and communicates. Please take this day trip to Budapest….you won’t regret it.

I give 5 stars to our tour guide and 3 to Viator, which averages to a 4 overall.
Budapest was lovely, however, the Chinese President was visiting while there and the area near the Parliament was blocked off. Evidently Viator knew two days before and would not let it be cancelled or send out notifications for folks to choose another date if that was an option. We got to see some beautiful streets in the Buda side of the country, I wish I had seen more of that. To me, it looked more enchanting and beautiful than Pest. Hate that I missed it. However, Marco, our tour guide tried everything he could do to get us in an area in Buda to see more, it was impossible and he felt very bad about the predicament, called his office to see what he could do, and learned about Viator’s insistence on moving forward with the tour.
Pest was beautiful, but had a bit more modernity to the architecture amid the old settings. The church in Pest was amazing. Marco was great!
I am sure the full tour would have been incredible! It was pretty good without, but I really hate not having the option to schedule it another day, as we had some flexibility to do so.

Peter was excellent. We saw all of the highlights of Budapest and had 3 hours of time to walk, eat and shop. Peter went above and beyond taking us to so many little spots of interest and being able to grab great pictures. Highly recommend this tour.

Tour guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the Chinese president was in town so our trip was significantly impacted by traffic and the buda castle/fisherman’s bastion being closed to the public. I recommend telling travelers ahead of time their trip might be severely impacted during events such as these so they have the option to book a different date
