Yousef was both the driver and the guide and he was excellent at presenting the cultures, history, landscape and languages of Morocco. His knowledge of the Berber culture was also fascinating. I enjoyed the combination of walking and driving, the city is so refreshingly clean! It was very enjoyable to walk in the park and learn about the plants and trees. A highlight is the Hassan II mosque. I highly recommend taking the time to go to the mosque like this for a detailed tour. There is a separate guide who presents the interior of the mosque. The guide who presented to a small group was “Halim” or “Halib” (my apologies for misspelling). He was both informative and light hearted, and he shared many aspects of devotion. When I met up again w/ Yousef afterwards, we went for a bit to The Habbous, where it was fantastic to see the large fire oven where local residents can bring their prepared food to be cooked by the fire keeper/chef! Yousef is also very knowledgeable about food and it was inspiring me to try some new things myself!

I had a long layover and instead of staying at the airport I decided to take this tour. After a mishap with the actual booking date, which the team was extremely helpful on assisting me with, I had the pleasure of spending the day exploring Casablanca with Anas. He was really knowledgeable about the history and culture of Morocco, which I appreciated learning more about. As a solo traveler I was unsure I could explore the city on my own, so I would 100% recommend this tour and if you have the choice I suggest asking for Anas.
