Our first stop of the day is at a beautiful winery belonging to one of the most prestigious Italian aristocratic families. Here we taste three wines paired with cured meats and two olive oils but first, there’s a fascinating guided tour of the historic wine cellars and to the olive mill through underground tunnels that pass under the villa.

Now buckle-up and get ready for some off-roading through ancient woodland and rolling hills, outlined with cypress trees and dotted with rustic farms and churches, to make our way to a typical Tuscan winery restaurant with stunning views. Here is where we will really get your taste buds tingling with delicious food and wine. You will not want to leave!

We go deeper into the Chianti hills and enjoy more incredible countryside on our way to a Chianti Classico vineyard. As a contrast to the established winery of the morning, this one is smaller and less known though does have two award winning wines which you will taste as you find out how ancient tradition and innovation have been combined to create them.

We had such a fun, memorable, informative, and unique experience on this tour! Special thanks to Gloria (…Gloria!), who was so knowledgeable and organized, and also had a great sense of humor. She was easily one of our favorite tour guides from our entire trip to Italy. We sincerely loved all the vineyards we visited and are definitely going to order wine online from these places in the future. The vineyards were perfectly spaced away from the center of Florence as well as from one another. The vehicle we took was awesome, gigantic, and comfortable. The group size was not too large. Book this experience!

My husband and two of our friends had an amazing time on this wine tour! Our guide Sarah and driver Emiliano were the best, always very kind and knowledgeable. Surprisingly the lunch served on the tour was one of the best meals we had! The wineries had a great selection of wines and were very picturesque. Strongly recommend!

My wife and I booked this experience and had a wonderful time. Sara was an amazing guide and we really enjoyed every part of the day. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is wanting to taste amazing wine in some truly amazing vineyards.

We had the most magical day on this tour! Our tour guide Alessandro made us feel so welcome and was highly knowledgeable on the subject. We learned sooo much and had a blast along the way! highlight recommend!! Only thing I'd add is that if you do get car sick beware that much of this ride is on the backroads so be ready for that. Even with that being said it was worth it! Can't wait to recommend this experience to family and friends!

I had an amazing day full of good food wine and laughs. Alessandro was amazing and kept us all entertained throughout the day with facts and some history. I would definitely recommend this trip as you get lovely views and of course sampling good food and wine is a must in Italy!

We had our tour on 25/04 Alessandro, who was enthusiastic and a brilliant guide throughout the day. We were picked up in Florence and driven to the Tuscan country side, through the rolling hills. We visited 3 vineyards and told how Chianti wine is made and what makes it ‘Chianti’. I was a bit skeptical about the lunch before the tour as you never know what you’ll get and sometime in these trips they skimp on the food. I was proved wrong, the lunch was at a restaurant at one of the vineyards, the food was delicious, plenty of it and with magnificent view. The end of each tasting, we were given time to finish our food and wine and explore the vineyard and make any purchases. Staff at each vineyard were very open to answering any and all wine related questions. At the end of the day we were driven back to Florence. Would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys food and wine.

The Chianti Safari, with Walkabout Florence Tours, was awesome! Our guide, Angie, was incredible! She was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic, which made this tour memorable. The driver, sorry I forgot his name, was professional and polite as well. The stops for the vineyards and restaurant were awesome and informative. The wine tasting and food, along with the olive oil, was fantastic. Great experience and we highly recommend this.

The Chianti Safari was excellent! Angie was an awesome guide. She was knowledgeable of the area and was enthusiastic. The wine tasting and food experience was incredible. However, regarding Viator, I had rewards available to use, but when I paid, I was not allowed to use said rewards. I called customer service, but was told there was nothing they could do, since it was paid. I was not given the opportunity to choose to select the rewards. Also, the rewards state they will be automatically applied-FALSE!!! But please do not hesitate to book the Chianti Safari with Walkabout Florence Tours.
