Overall an amazing experience. The staff were excellent, they were very well-trained, making sure you were informed every step of the way. They were very friendly, always happy to chat. The warm dinners provided on board was of excellent standard if it were made in a proper kitchen, so being made on a board made it even more impressive! It was my first time scuba diving, and I felt very safe and assured. I was briefed verbally and practised techniques just below the water. I was guided down some of the reefs. The aquatic life and coral were amazing. Make sure you have a GoPro! The weather was decent, it lightly rained a few times over the two days, and it was fairly choppy on the way out, so don’t forget to bring travel sickness tablets. The crew have a good brand for sale too. Many thanks to all the crew.

This was a great trip to get a more personal and in-depth experience with diving and snorkeling on the reef! The crew was very kind, and the ship and diving/snorkeling gear were all very dependable. The only disappointment was that the night dive wasn’t permitted for intro divers, even after completing prior dives and competency tests. Apparently this was a recent change in regulation, but the online details hadn’t been updated to reflect that. Other than that, the reef spots that we explored were beautiful and vibrant, even with a bit of rainy weather!

Crew were professional, helpful & competent. Boat was in good shape with everything functioning. Food was acceptable for a small boat overnight trip. Snorkeling gear including stinger suits worked well and when they did not the crew adjusted them for us until they worked well. We only snorkeled but saw nearly as much as the divers did, with the exception that the divers got to do a night dive but snorkeling was not allowed after sunset. Lots of time for snorkeling at 4 different sites. Amazing coral and innumerable fish. It was like snorkeling in an aquarium! We also saw 3 sharks and 4 or 5 turtles, giant clams, etc.

The Great Barrier Reef was amazing!!! Our dives were awesome and the snorkeling was sometimes even better than the diving. I would highly recommend doing the night dive also!! Romy and Marco took us diving. They were amazing cooks, great guides, and always did their best to make us feel welcome, happy, and safe!! The boat is small so it was actually really nice to have only about 10 of us on board. The beds were comfortable and even though we went in summer we stayed cool inside the boat. I would recommend 10/10!!

Jason, Vanessa and Marco did a great job. Spending a night on the boat allowed us to get out to further reefs like Norman Reef that are less trafficked. We got lucky and saw rays, sharks, turtles and many other types of fish. Night dive was a real highlight and life experience as well. They were very accommodating to both experienced and beginner divers. It is a ship and not a super fancy cruise so do keep in mind you’re sleeping on a small boat, it can only be so glamorous. But that’s what we wanted. They do still have AC and chargers downstairs, so in that context it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Marco, Miguel and Aaron were incredible! If you are looking for how to see the Great Barrier Reef, this is it. You will not be disappointed. The small group size and expertise makes this an amazing adventure. We just snorkeled and it was SO cool. The crew’s expertise and assistance just put this over the top. HIGHLY recommend Coral Sea Dreaming.

Well run operation. Great staff. Comfortable if cosy accommodation. Boat facilities very good. Good food, nice laid back atmosphere. As snorkelers didn't feel like we were an afterthought. Felt looked after. Some really great snorkel sites and so much fish! Maybe not the quickest way out there but a smooth ride as we had good seas. The sail is just for show really we didnt really sail. But would recommend as an overnight from cairns on a small group boat. Excellent!

My wife and I had an awesome time on the one night / two day excursion with Coral Sea Dreaming. We are novice divers who received our open water diver certification 1 month before the trip and had completed 2 other dives in Australia. We went with Jason (skipper) and Miguel and Ari (dive guides/instructors) and the entire crew was super friendly and fun. Miguel led the certified divers and we completed five total dives over the two days. The first two day dives and the night dive were at Milln Reef (the whale and club 10) . This was an incredible location with tons of biodiversity in both corals and fish. At night we saw two types of sharks. Miguel was an excellent dive leader who made us feel safe and comfortable at all times. On the second day we did a dive at the three sisters at Milln Reef and then went to Flynn Reef. Again, these dives were incredible and we saw and wide variety of corals and fish. We were also happy that the size of group was small; there were 12 passengers and 3 crew. Many of the other boats have 30+ passengers and we felt this boat gave us a more intimate experience. The crew cooked solid balanced meals that kept us fueled. The bathrooms were a bit tight and the rooms a bit cramped but overall we were very comfortable and happy with the experience. I would recommend this company to certified divers of all levels who want to dive some of the best sites on the Great Barrier Reef in a more intimate way.
