Colombia is known as the coffee country, well, we got much more history linked to the “green gold”. Emeralds are part of the selected group of precious stones and the 60% of them in the world are originally from Colombia. Become part of the Emerald legend, by creating a ring with your own hands. This tour starts by having an introduction about the importance of emeralds for precolonial and colonial culture. We will go through the emerald and jewelry district to learn about the history of the precious metals and stones and its influence in Colombian culture. We will take a look at the emerald market to see the different minerals and qualities. Then we will work on your new ring, where you will decide all! the design, the stone and material, by the personal advisory of a orfebre (jewelry master) who teaches you how to do every single step.

I loved this experience and there aren't any other tours like this! Our guide Gabriela was wonderful and everyone in the jewelry workshop was helpful. I did not opt for a larger emerald but I think that the ring is still gorgeous. I absolutely recommend this experience.

Loved this experience so much!! Our tour guide Gabriela was so helpful and everyone who works at the jewelry workshop is really friendly. I got to pick out the emerald, show a ring design, and then the jewelers helped me make it. Or more like I helped the jewelers make it haha! I really recommend this as a good way to see inside the Colombian emerald industry. And what an amazing souvenir to to take home

Fabulous afternoon with Rolimbia Trips Nick and jewellery Master Juan. Took us through the whole process hands on and ended with amazing rings. All staff were obliging and flexible. We also had a lot of fun being creative and working with everyone. Would highly recommend. A note, if you want to upgrade from the provided emerald, take notes as card is not accepted.

The experience began with a fascinating overview of the city's emerald jewelry tradition. Learning about the significance of this precious stone in Colombian culture really added depth to the experience.
Then, it was on to the workshop itself! The friendly jewelry masters patiently guided us through the process of creating our own silver and emerald rings. Their expertise made it accessible for everyone, regardless of prior experience. The atmosphere was warm and encouraging, and by the end, we all walked away with unique, beautiful rings we crafted ourselves.
This workshop was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Bogotá. It's more than just a souvenir; it's a tangible reminder of the city's history and artistry. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable keepsake, I can't recommend this experience enough!

Wonderful experience! Juan was very attentive and the price includes everything you need. If you’d like to upgrade to bigger emeralds, you can pay for them.
The experience definitely gives you an appreciation of how a ring can be made.

This was the best day!! The communication prior was clear and the meeting arrangements were perfect. Our guide Juan was so great! he gave us a really good introduction to the history of gold, emeralds & jewellery in Colombia, he was engaging, funny & friendly! During the workshop he was helpful, happy, patient and supportive. The workshop itself was SO good, the masters are really friendly, super supportive of your ideas, they allow you to be totally hands-on doing all the steps, the atmosphere is really uplifting and positive, the mood is fun and it’s such a great day! I would recommend anyone visiting Bogotá to do this experience!! Five stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
(the ticket cost comes with a free stone, they offer alternatives at extra costs which I bought, see photos. There is absolutely no pressure whatsoever to purchase theses though)

One of the best things I did in my 3 months of travel around South America! Juan was an excellent guide he taught me a lot about the history or gold and emeralds in Bogota. I was surprised at how hands on the workshop was, I pretty much did every step myself which was amazing, I expected that the professional jeweller would do most of the steps but I got to do all of it other than attaching the claws to the band and placing the emerald in. Such a fun experience and i’m so happy to have such a beautiful ring to keep
