Laura , our guide was fantastic! She was a plethora of facts and knowledge. She had our attention all day and we came away more knowledgeable about the history of the windmills and villages. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would recommend it especially if you get Laura as your guide! Our driver Michael? Was extremely capable and affable as well as a true gentleman.

Our guide Xavier was very entertaining. We enjoyed visiting the windmills and towns but found the cheese and clog factory demonstrations rushed by the people giving the presentations. Despite that we had an enjoyable day out.

Our guide Ilya was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour, which made the day that much more fun. We learned so much along the way and saw so many places that we wouldn’t have seen if we went off on our own.

Great experience, our hostel was in a walkable distance to the meeting point. Our guide Ilia was very friendly, charismatic and kind, enjoyed the stories shared. We visited 3 cities, had time for lunch and also got the boat canal experience. Would definitely recommend if you want to visit different areas on the same day.

If you are on a short trip and want to cover as much of North Netherlands in one day, this is good for you. Personally, I would rather recommend renting a car or taking public transport and exploring at your leisure. Ilya was a good guide that explained the history well while being entertaining. The itinerary of the trip was too hectic and rushed with too little time spent in each town. For each stop we basically did a quick stroll with a short pause for photos and history lesson. It did not feel like we got to explore the town. The time we were offered for lunch was rushed and could not enjoy sitting down and the scenery. The cheese and clogs site was bit more gimmicky than informative. Seemed like selling their products was the emphasis rather than learning the crafts. Bus was comfortable; no toilette on the bus but plenty of restroom options at the stops.
