I enjoyed every minute of the 3 day trip! We got to see a lot in the island without getting the feeling of “rushing”. Paul was a great tour guide, very patient and kind. He did everything to give us the best experience possible. My highlights were lake mackenzie and the sunrise and sunset at the shipwreck.

I had the most amazing time on K’Gari with paul as my tour guide he was so amazing and made sure we all had the best time ever! The camp was so clean and well looked after and the factualities were brilliant, I got talking to honey and neve who work on the island and they are the loveliest girls, it really goes to show that the people who work at these types of places make the experience so much better . The actual tour was insane and we saw some amazing things and met friends for life.

Had a really great time on this trip, bonded with other travellers really closely. There were a great mix of people from all over the world, all walks of life and we all enjoyed our experience. Favourite moments had to be lake McKenzie and the SS Maheno. I think three days is the perfect amount of time to get a good taste but I’d definitely go back. Also, we were looked after very well by our guide, the lovely Mick. I don’t have a picture of him but he looks just like Zach from the comedy trio Aunty Donna. (But with a better tan)

An interesting trip, our guide Paul was friendly and knowledgeable although at times it would have helped to know timings between locations. The tents at night were extremely hot and there were differing messages between what was provided and not - ie. Pillow not provided although some literature did not highlight this and sleeping bags were provided although some literature stated there may be a rental fee for them. There was also an indication that there were free cold shower or hot showers for a fee - this was incorrect, only with a $2 coin could you have a shower. From our experience travelling with the same car for the duration of the trip would have saved a lot of hassle and made for a more enjoyable trip, as we got placed in a car on the 2nd day that were unhappy about loosing driving time. The island is big and as a result you spend a great deal of time in the cars which at times was good fun but if cramped in the very back of a hot truck with no air was definitely not the most enjoyable! Exploring the island was incredible however, and food provided was great - just a shame that the experience was dampened by lack of sleep in tents and unhappy people upset about car arrangements!

This is one of the most unique experiences you will ever have and definitely never forget. Everyone loved driving the cars and we all had the best time exploring the island. Our tour guide (who’s name I can’t remember) was fantastic and was able to answer all our questions about the island, it’s wildlife and it’s past which we loved hearing! He was chill and had a laugh with us all. We visited multiple different spots including lake McKenzie, eli creek, champagne pools and the shipwreck. There were another couple I can’t remember the names of and also the little village on our middle day when we could buy lunch/snacks from the shop and cafe. All meals are provided and were pretty decent. I really do hate camping however, the campsite included proper toilets, showers and a full kitchen which for me made the experience much more pleasant which I understand not all of the tour companies on the island do! Everywhere seemed pretty clean which was also a bonus. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who has the opportunity to go and encourage doing it with Dingo’s.
