After meeting with your tour guide, leave from Porto, and travel to the beautiful Douro Valley in a comfortable climatized vehicle.
Stop At: 5100 Lamego, Portugal
After the first stretch of the journey and having arrived to the Douro Valley, we will be visiting a small family owned vineyard, with a wine tasting of their own production.
Here we will have a commented wine tasting we will also enjoy some wonderfull views of the terraced hills that make the Douro Valley so unique.

Pass By: Douro River, Porto Portugal
After the first winery, enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley, the beautifull village of Pinhão.
Stop At: Pinhao, Pinhao, Vila Real District, Northern Portugal
In Pinhão we will embark on the unique experience of doing a short 1 hour river cruise, to soak in the beautiful landscape while admiring the terraced hills with the quintessential vineyards and estates that turn the margins of the Douro River into a true "Geologic Poem"

After the scenic cruise it´s time to drive up the hills, through the windy Douro roads and get on our way to Sabrosa, for lunch.
It´s time to discover more of what the Douro Valley has to offer and to enjoy the breathtaking views from up the mountains.
Stop At: Sabrosa, Sabrosa, Vila Real District, Northern Portugal
In Sabrosa we will stop at another family owned winery, where we will have a traditional portuguese lunch complete with 4 courses, entrance, salad, main dish and dessert, all paired with their delicious Douro red and white wine.
For the grande finale we will visit their cellar where we will try some of their fantastic ports.
After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto.

Pick ups will be between 8:30 - 9:00 am. We will contact customers by message (trough the App) with final details.
Be aware that we need confirmation of every customer regarding the meeting point and pick up hour, when we send the message through the App. If you will not answer through the App, we will try to reach you by phone.
Please make sure your number is correct. We normally try WhatsApp first and then we call if we don't have an answer.

The day before the tour, you will receive the exact pickup details regarding pickup, meeting point and time;
Parents should bring the baby car seat ajusted to infant's age (1 to 3 years old). We only have seats available after 4 years old.
This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
This tour has two different options, with or without hotel pick up. If you choose the option with the meeting point this tour may or may not be done in a minibus or bus. If you choose the Small Group with hotel pick up option, this tour will be done on a minivan and a group of up to 8 people;
For the ones that choose hotel pick-up, if your accomodation is not in a very easy to reach location, we might ask you to meet us at a close by location;
Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
For lunch we provide meet, fish, vegan and vegetarian option.
We do tours all year round, in the winter it is cold and in the summer it's hot, please dress appropriately
There is not much walking involved, but please bring comfortable shoes;
Don´t forget to bring your camera with you!
This tour last around 9 hours, but it´s subject to local traffic conditions or visit schedules;
Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
The order of the tour or partners visit are subject to change depending on availability;
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 46 travelers

Great tour! Sarah was awesome - very friendly and made everyone comfortable right away. The Douro valley was gorgeous, unlike anything we’ve seen in previous travels. Getting to see the vineyards from the river and up on the highway was breathtaking.

It is a must tour when visiting Porto & area. I don’t think one can do this on their own, either.

We travelled to Douro valley in a large comfortable coach, there was 30 in our group. Our guide Rita was brilliant, very funny.We visited 2 wineries with lots of samples of port given by another woman called Rita (also very funny and informative) Boat trip was lovely. I dropped one star for lunch, which was ok, a bit bland and very little wine, 2 bottles per table of ten worked out at 150 mls each. All in all, I thoroughly recommend this trip.

We had a wonderful time visiting the Douro Valley. We were part of a small group tour of 8 people. Our guide João was very knowledgeable about the history of the valley as well as Porto itself. He gave us a lot of information. We visited one winery where we tasted two wines and 3 different port wines. Then they gave us a special tasting of another port wine. We had bread, olive oil, olives and honey. We then went on the river cruise which was very beautiful but you see it all during the drive so it’s not anything more special. Then went for a wonderful lunch and had more port wine tastings. I really think this tour should be on the top of your list.

The tour was great. The bus was comfortable. The wine tasting hosts were very engaging and informative about the vineyards and the wine making processes. The wine and the lunch were tasty and plentiful. Our tour guide Rita was friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. Overall a very pleasant day.
