You will be guided through the grounds of Edinburgh Castle. It is worth to note that we can not take you inside any of the Caste Buildings (no tour operator can) but we will give you the rich history of the Castle, it's place in Scottish history and many of it's more unusual tales so that after the tour you will be able to explore the Castle with a much deeper understanding than a casual visitor.

Although much of the tour is done inside the castle complex, this will not be under cover.
Bags over 30L in volume are not permitted inside the castle and the castle does not provide a locker system for the storage of luggage.

Please Note - Children, aged 15 and under, will not be able to join the tour unless accompanied by a responsible adult
Edinburgh Castle is built on top of the core of an old volcano, the ground is often uneven and at times steep. Be prepared to be on your feet for the full duration of the tour. People with mobility issues may not get the most from this tour.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

English Ben is a fabulous tour guide. He’s very informative and has a great sense of humor. He gave great advice on where to spend our time inside buildings of the castle after the tour.

Angus was engaging, funny and knowledgeable. What a great introduction to Edinburgh castle grounds. Would suggest it for anyone very good alternative to self guided audio tour.

English Ben was our tour guide and he was superb!! He spoke loud so that we had no trouble understanding. He was fascinating to listen to. His ability to relay the history behind what we were seeing made the castle just come alive. He also mentioned which parts of the castle that we should go back and do in more detail once the tour was over, e.g., the various exhibits and museums, and he was right on!! The meeting place was clear and we got started on time. Highly recommend this tour group!!

If you like history, it’s a great tour. Be prepared to walk uphill quite a lot, but worth it. Would recommend.

We had a great time on this tour! Our tour guide was awesome and made it fun and interesting for all ages. We skipped the line and she set the stage very well, and then pointed us in the right directions for the remainder of our day at the castle. Highly recommend!

My partner and I went on this tour together and we both enjoyed it. English Ben was a great tour guide and was very funny and charismatic. Told us a lot of fun history about the castle.
