Silvia was an amazing guide. She was so personable and engaging. Her knowledge of the city, culture and history was very impressive. I would highly recommend her if you want to make the most out of Venice in a short period of time. The food and wine was also wonderful.

We got the BEST food we had during our stay in Venice on this tour. After stopping at 5 places, we were completely full and didn’t have to eat super after (we have big appetites). Our tour guide, Ludo, was amazing and gave us an extensive list of the best local places to go for all types of food in Venice and other cities like Florence and Rome. We used this list for the rest of our trip and all of her recommendations were exceptional!

Our guide was delightful and considerate. Our group was only 6 people so interaction was easy. As we left the meeting point we walked through less touristy areas, maybe a bit more like “real” Venice. We made five stops near the market area for a variety of cicchetti and wine. Walking was probably no more than a mile though it was considerable distance from our hotel near San Marco to the meeting point.

We tried rescheduling 24 hours before the tour. The phone number given was a German number not local. No one would answer. I left a message, text and on Whatsapp. The next day, I was so sick. No one returned my call to reschedule so we went anyway. We showed a few minutes late. No one was there. I tried calling again. No contact and no returned messages. We asked locals and they were not familiar with the tour. When we returned home weeks later, we contacted Viator for a refund. The tour company would not grant it, so Viator did not support us as their customer. We do NOT recommend this tour as the company is non-responsive and will not cancel and credit your account.

We had so many foods that were unique to Venice! It’s such a great tour that introduces you to staples as well as new twists on Cicchetti. There’s so much excellent seafood but also incredible alternatives if that isn’t your jam. Our tour guide Sylvia was SO knowledgeable about the city, its history, and most importantly the food and drink that makes it special. It was the perfect amount of time to try enough food and wine to be satisfied. It’s first and foremost a food and drink tour but there’s plenty of history and cultural touchstones that help you understand this beautiful city.

We did this as our initial introduction to Venice- it was a wonderful way to taste local cuisine and also to grasp the city’s lay out with its canals, bridges, campos & islands! Georgia was top notch explaining the Venetian city agriculture & history to weave the story of the cicchetti and wine we tasted. The Prosecco was stellar and an authentic spritz was a new experience for us! We enjoyed strolling through less crowded streets and interacting with our fellow guests and the proprietors of the intimate bars and cafes. Great Tour!

We were a group of 12 and the tour guide was Ursula. The tour seemed a little rushed. We didn’t have a lot of time in each place but there was a lot of food and wine both fish and meat. A little more walking between the stops would have been nice but Ursula was very pleasant and gave interesting facts about the area. Pleasant couple of hours but do think compared to many other food tours we have done this is overpriced.

Giovanna is a lovely guide that was incredibly accommodating. The wines and food (plus a spritz) were a great sampling of what Venice offers (everything was delicious!) and something you might not have thought to get initially. She also brought a lot of insight into the culture of Venice and its residents. Overall a great tour and one I highly recommend.
