It was enjoyable seeing the everyday life of the Florentine people as seen in then”other side” of the river. We met the shop owners and were able to taste their specialties. It was cool to visit three of the remaining wine windows. Sara was a fabulous guide and made the experience even better. She made sure everyone was happy and even tried to find alternatives if someone didn’t like something.

Thoroughly enjoyed the sunset tour. Our tour guide Martino did an amazing job explaining the food, drinks, and neighborhood. The tastings were all delicious and each proprietor did an exceptional job welcoming the group. I would recommend this tour as a first day experience in Florence. Bravo Martino for leading a fun and lively tour.

I am giving this four stars instead of five. Our guide was definitely a five star guide. She was very knowledgeable about the city, and we definitely went to really cool places that were off the beaten path and a local neighborhood. However, one place we tried a wine and for ten minutes they spoke about how wonderful a different wine was, but kept saying we couldn’t try it tonight because there was no time. They gave us vouchers to come back the following day and taste the wine. There was no reason we couldn’t try it during the tour itself. We spent another 15 minutes there just talking. Would have been nice to be served the wine they told us to all about. We didn’t have time to go back the next day. That was the only thing that bothered us about this tour. Everything else was good.

We had alot of fun on this food and wine tasting tour. Visiting the less crowded areas of Florence - the tastings of the cheese, soup, boar stew, cold cuts and gelato was delicious. So was the wine and prosecco. We loved getting our wine through a wine window. Our guide Eva was excellent and gave us a good narrative on the wine, food and the regions it came from.

It was fun to visit a part of Florence away from the choked streets in the central area. It was a bit more peaceful.
