Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Arusha National Park Gate, Momela Rd, Tanzania

Despite the small size of the park, common animals include giraffe, buffalo, zebra, warthog, the black-and-white colobus monkey, the blue monkey, flamingos and more. African elephants and leopards are present, but rarely seen. The park is at the base of Mount Meru, which is good for climbing. Birdlife in the forest is prolific, with many forest species more easily seen here.

Though very accessible, Arusha NP isn't on many safari itineraries. This is mainly because it doesn't offer a chance of seeing the Big 5. It has a range of habitats including forest – home to the black-and-white colobus monkey – and is excellent for birding.

I had a full day tour in Arusha national park with Hassan as my guide. I had a very good time seeing the wonderful landscapes and animals. I soecially liked the walking safari which you can do accompanied by an armed ranger and a local guide. Seeing the giraffes and buffalos when walking is a different feeling than driving up to them! As I was the only passanger that day Hassan always gave me all the time I wanted to watch the animals and let me de ide when and where to eat. He also told me a lot about fauna and flora which was super interesting! Food was very tasty too! Mohammed, the manager organised everything with me through whatsapp, he is always very responsive and can answer every question. For an additional 35$ (normal taxi price) i got driven back to Moshi after my safari which was very convenient. I recommend Travel Africa Safari Agency wholeheartedly to everyone!

The big animals like the Giraffes behavie different then in the famous Parks, because of the absence of big pretators. So they are more relaxed and you can do even a walking safari with a ranger. For me it was also worth to go to visit the former Hatari Lodge of Hardy Krüger and the famous Momelia Lodge

I thought I was going to be very bored in Arusha National park because its not included in most safaris, but this tour really stood out for me. If you go, make sure and do the walking safari. Its not a strenuous walk, though it is obviously hot (you’re in Africa). I really enjoyed being able to walk right up to the giraffes. We also saw buffalo and lots of baboons. Highly recommend it.
