Stop At: Golden Circle Route, Iceland
Golden Circle tour is the tour to take if you only take one tour in Iceland! The duration of the stops vary, but it is (very roughly) at least 30 min at each of the main sights.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Thingvellir Iceland
You will take a short walk through Thingvellir, a National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, located directly between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The history here is also fascinating; Thingvellir was the original site of what is now the longest-running parliament in the world, formed in 930 AD.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Gullfoss Waterfall, Blaskogabyggd Iceland
Admire the majestic waterfall Gullfoss. The sheer power of the falls is mesmerizing, and its history is inspiring.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Strokkur, Selfoss 806 Iceland
Another stop will be in the geothermal are near Haukadalur valley. This hilly area has a lot of hot springs, but what it is most renowned for is its geysers. The largest, Geysir gave the world the word geyser, while Strokkur is the most active in the area, shooting water up to 30 meters high every five to ten minutes.

Stop At: Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin, Hvammsvegur, Fludir 845 Iceland
On this tour, you will also get the time to slow down and relax like a local. Secret lagoon is Iceland’s oldest swimming pool, filled with water trickling in from an adjacent geothermal area, which, as an added bonus, has another little geyser. Its location could not be more serene, and you will no doubt ease away any tension built up over your holiday in its healing waters.

Gummi was such great tour guide! He was so informative and told great stories of the Vikings. He really knows his history of the Vikings and of all the volcanos. We learned a considerable amount of plant regrowth after a volcano.

Great tour and excellent communication from Viator. The secret lagoon had to close for repairs and they immediately alerted us, allowed for us to make a change or stay and promptly (without being asked) refunded the portion for the lagoon visit. The tour itself was great with Gummi. He had loads of information about the places we were going, as well as Iceland in general. I don't think there was one question he couldn't answer. He pointed out spots along the way in a quiet and easy going manner. He gives a great tour! Mini bus was comfortable and we had plenty of time at each destination. Highly recommend!

I loved the trip of the Golden Circle, and our guide had so much to tell us about Iceland, everything from folklore to tectonic plate movements. I felt I learnt so much during the trip, and we really enjoyed ourselves. My 13 year old daughter was also very happy, so Rakel managed to talk to all ages and involve everyone. Thank you so much for a memorable day!

Gullfoss falls and the National Park. The Secret Lagoon. They were all sights to enjoy. Also it was great to see the different landscape’s.

Are tour guide/driver was a man named Thomas who was one of the best tour guides we have ever had, he was funny and took time to inform everybody about the history and facts about Iceland and the golden circle.

We enjoyed all the stops. Ian introduced us to the wonderful sites with lots of information. His suggestions for the logistics of visiting each stop were very helpful. The secret lagoon was a great way to end the day.

Thoroughly enjoyed my day out on this tour! The group was small (the van has 16 spaces but there were 10 of us). Our guide—Ian —was knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting facts about Island and the places we drove through and visited. The time given for each visit felt just right and loved relaxing in the pool at the end.
