Join us on this amazing nature experience, a guided kayak trip around Øygarden islets outside Bergen. Transport from the Tourist Information and lunch is included.
During this beginner level tour, you will experience coastal wildlife, hear stories about local cultural and natural history, and enjoy delicious food made with locally-sourced ingredients. This tour is the best medicine for your body and soul!
This tour allows you to safely experience the local islets around Bergen with the expertise of a local guide. You do not need any kayaking experience as we will provide instruction in safety and rescue techniques.
Out among the islets there is plentiful birdlife. If you look down through the crystal clear waters you will see small crabs, shrimps and maybe a salmon jumping beside your kayak, if you look up you may see a eagle!
Min age: 8 years old
No prior kayak experience needed.
You will paddle mostly in double kayaks.
Duration:
5 hours in total, included transport. Normally 2-2.5 hrs on the water.
Departure point:
The guide will meet you outside the entrance to the Tourist Information in Bergen at 09:30. We return to the same place around around 14:15-14:30

Delightful quiet trip outside of Bergen city, a treat! Paddled for ~2.5 hours at an easy pace. Guide Iris was incredible, and she made sure that the trip felt effortless for everyone. Also- the company has plenty of gear so no need to bring anything special. Would highly recommend!

This is a fun and scenic kayak tour! Iris, our guide, picked us up and took us out into a beautiful area to paddle. She gave us a good briefing about the kayaks and made sure we all were comfortable and ready to go. Iris talked about the area as we were paddling and took us around some beautiful islands to explore. Stopped at one of the islands & had a nice lunch. Great trip! Thanks!

We had an incredible time kayaking with Iris as our guide! She was extremely knowledgeable about the history and marine life along our journey and very vivacious and accommodating. We caught a ton of fish afterwards while eating delicious snacks and would definitely highly recommend to anyone who loves nature. Not very strenuous either as we sat in doubles in state of the art kayaks, even in a heavy wind.

It was beautiful being outside the city, so peaceful and the waters were very calm. Our guide didn't push us and was very helpful getting us in and out of the kayaks. Highly recommend.
