You will explore one of the most beautiful Valley Glaciers
in Alaska with a professional Glacier Guide. Stand in Awe
of this magnificent creation, listen to the haunting sounds of the Ice. You will be exposed to a wealth of knowledge including glaciology and geology as you learn about the glaciers formation and history. As you traverse the glacier, you will encounter towering ice walls, deep crevasses, and mesmerizing blue ice formations. This tour is great for all ages, but dress warm, especially in winter

Stop At: Glenn Highway, AK

Glenn Highway National Scenic Byway Runs parallel to the paths carved by the Matanuska Glacier, the Glenn Highway makes it possible to trace the glaciers that formed this area, and provides some of the most accessible glacier-viewing in the state, as well as amazing geological formations.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Palmer, Palmer, Alaska

Enjoy the town of Palmer with its beautiful mountains. We will make a quick stop at a local grocery here so you can grab some coffee and munchies for lunch after your glacier tour

Tom was great. When he realized it was getting to be a bit too strenuous for my husband and I he got another guide to help get us back while our grandson and 3 others went on. Tom said it was the longest and highest he’s gone with a group. Our grandson absolutely loved it!

Ii had been booking several tour with Viator and all had been nice, and lately booked The Matanuska Glacier tour which I strongly recommend it was extraordinary trip, as my first time tourist in Alaska this Glacier tour was impressing and a lifetime experience. Dan the tour guide who help with all of his trip arranments, is very knowledgeable and experienced guide. Dan made this an extraordinary tour a pleasant and safety one. He is very well known and trusted person, he makes you feel like family. My Matanuska Glacier trip was amazing. Thanks to Dan, you are the best!
