IMPORTANT: Access is restricted to Lahaina on the west side of Maui.
The tour times provided reflect the start and end of the tour, but not your exact pickup and drop off time. Whether or not you've provided your hotel/lodging at the time of booking, you are required to contact the tour provider no less than (2) days prior to your tour date to receive your exact pickup time and location. The tour provider will advise you of the specific area at the hotel/lodging you should wait; for example "at the front entrance." Please be there at least 5 minutes before your pickup time. Please allow a 10-15 minute grace period, as the driver will be picking up other guests in your area. If your hotel/lodging is not included on our pickup schedule, you'll be advised to meet at nearby location. Please note that we are prohibited by certain properties to pickup non-hotel guests and we do not pick-up at private properties such as AirBnB's and residential areas.

Haleakala is known for rapidly changing weather conditions and dense clouds and rain are common. As a result, clear viewing of the sunrise is not guaranteed, and the tour operates rain or shine. Refunds will be granted only when the tour is cancelled for safety reasons.

The high altitude at the summit area may complicate health conditions and breathing difficulties. Elderly visitors, pregnant women, young children, and those with respiratory or heart conditions should consult their doctor prior to touring. Walk slowly and drink water to avoid dehydration. If you have gone scuba diving, you should wait at least 72 hours before going on this tour.

Initial booking and communication process was good. Then came the day of the adventure. Waited for an hour starting at 230am. No pickup and no way to communicate with the operator. Very very disappointed. Looks like an ongoing issue now. After lot of research we choose this operator but now I am working to get a refund.

They are scammers! They never came to pick us up, we stayed waiting at the pick-up point for more than an hour. They didn't answer any of our calls! They were supposed to pick us up at 2:30 am, we were waiting from 2:15 am to 3:15 and they never showed up. I have a huge disappointment!! We missed seeing the sunrise on the Maui volcano!! I want my money back!
I had my cell phone on and with me the entire time. They were not able to warn us, they left us standing on the street in the middle of the morning. a disaster, terrible service!

Good tour guide, food was great, beautiful location. Would have been nice to have a bus with a heater as the summit was so cold.

Waited out at 2am and the guide never showed up! Waited for over an hour. Thankfully got a full refund after a lot of back and forth with Viator. Definitely would not recommend!

Temperature was about 30degrees cooler than at sea level so make sure to dress warm. Weather was perfect and got to see a beautiful sunrise above the crater as anticipated. Our tour guide Preston, was excellent throughout the trip. He was very knowledgeable and informative. Highly recommend

Our guide Preston was very thorough, sense of humor & totally loved his job! A must do in Maui! It was a rainy day on top but still totally worth it. We stayed a good while after sunrise and it turned into a beautiful sight.

Preston was Awesome!!! Highly recommend him. Very informative. Sights were amazing. The view was spectacular and breathtaking. Very cold so bring gear to keep warm

The weather was great. The sunrise was awesome. So many photos and memories. Both Melvin and our tour guide Preston were friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was very good with 3 choices of options.
