Stop At: Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, No.36 Meizhou Road, Qingpu District Zhujiajiao Town, Shanghai 201713 China
Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning or afternoon based on your preferred schedule. Transferred by comfortable vehicle to Zhujiajiao, a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was established about 1,700 years ago.
Upon arrival, stroll along the old street and traditional market where you will find many interesting vendors and local specialties. You will also find the best known bridges, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Take a relaxing boat ride in the water canals, and your friendly private guide will share with you the history and story of the area.
After the tour, your guide will send you back to the hotel in Shanghai city.

I arranged this trip with pick up from my hotel and the tour guide, Berlin, communicated proactively to make sure this went smoothly. Everything was on time and the transfer was comfortable and efficient.
The tour itself was very well balanced being informative but not overwhelming. The guide spoke perfect English and was happy and able to answer questions about the site and also wider topics on tourism in China.

Ask for Xin! Xin was prompt, very warm and welcoming, anticipated our needs, adjusted on the fly, and shared a deep knowledge about life in Shanghai, the historic area, and the region at large. She took excellent care of us and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. She’s the best!
Private tours are always the way to go, the driver was very professional and prompt, and the car was above expectations with bottled water.

We went on this tour and really enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Chloe, from start to finish was excellent. She was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. The water town is a unique little town that is worth a visit when in Shanghai. The food, culture, and boat ride along the river were great. Highly recommend this tour.
