Our stable is where your tour experience will begin and end. After checking in you can say hi to our draft horses, watch an educational video, purchases a bottle of water, or use our restroom. As you board your carriage via our inclined ramp / easy loading platform, your certified tour guide will greet you.This 40 minute after-dark tour covers more than 15 eerie blocks of Charleston's old walled city.

Once past the dungeon you will return along the formerly pirate infested waters of Charleston and back through the Old City Market as you return to our stables.

We would NOT recommend Old South Cattiage Company. We mentioned having a member being hard of hearing on the Viator website when signing up. When we arrived, we confirmed this information at the check-in desk and were told that we would be seated in the front as a family. When it came time to board, they did not honor this arrangement and were told to only place the individual with hearing difficulties up front or choose a different tour time. No apologies were given. Our tour guide was kind but the “haunted” stories would have been more interesting if other features of downtown were pointed out along the way. Overall, it was no where near the wonderful experience we had with our last carriage ride company, Palmetto Cottage Works, that we used during our last visit to Charleston.

The trip was excellent, and much more engaging than other tours we’ve taken in the city. Garrett was a terrific storyteller, and Owen is certainly employee of the month!

Miles was extremely professional and knowledgeable as well as an entertaining cast member, he made the whole ride process of the haunted story telling an hour of enjoyment. Griffin (and his stable friends) was a stunning animal. We greatly appreciate how Miles and the rest of the staff treat your horses. We brought our kids and they are raving about the experience. Not only will we be back but we will tell our friends. Thank all of you very much.

Our guide and Macaroni our horse did a great job. Our guide was very informative and funny. I think if it was dark outside it might have been better. We were hoping it would have been a scarier. Overall we had an enjoyable time.

Cat was great. Moose was great. The things they couldn’t control should’ve been better managed by the company. The lights on the carriage were not working and it poured rain on us the entire tour.
