- This activity is SELF-DRIVE!
- Drive your own team of huskies, in pairs you will share control of a dog sled and team of 5-7 Alaskan Huskies
- Training is provided on how to control your sled and an experienced guide will lead your tour on the trail
- 90 minutes of dog sledding in the Arctic wilderness
- Afterwards, enjoy cake and a warm drink in the Lavvu
- All necessary equipment to keep you safe and warm is provided. Minimum age 7 years
Join us for the experience of a lifetime, mushing your own team of dogs across the Arctic wilderness.
Meet our kennel of over 120 beautiful Alaskan Huskies. These are the running dogs of the Arctic, born and bred with a passion to pull.
You will have plenty of opportunities to swap between driver and passenger throughout the trip, as well as a chance to cuddle the dogs once back at the kennel.

The Husky Sledding Self-Drive tour was so fun! My husband and I went in early April and the weather was perfect (and there was still plenty of snow). The guides and dogs were so nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Arctic adventure is a terrific operator. Everything from booking to saying goodbye was on time, efficient, and with much sociable interaction. Hege and Richard and of course, the huskies, were warm and hospitable.
Great day out for a long ago dream come true.

Easy and beautiful drive from Tromso with transfer. The staff were very friendly. The dog sledding experience was one in a lifetime and only wish it could've lasted longer. The dogs were super friendly and happy once they started running (which is what they love most). They serve you cake and hot chocolate afterwards which were both delicious

Beautiful landscapes and a must-do for anyone, irrespective of whether you like dogs - but a huge plus for anyone who loves dogs. Very well organized. The activity will require some fitness from atleast the one person driving- to be agile enough. But for the second person sitting it is okay. One of my most memorable activities ever!

Me and my partner did this experience on our recent trip to Norway , I can honestly say it was the high light of our trip , the staff were lovely and very welcoming, and had a absolute love for their dogs .
They were very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had , we absolutely loved being able to drive the sleds ourselves .
The dogs are so friendly and love the attention and you could tell they loved to run and are totally happy doing this . I would definitely recommend this to anybody , it is a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget .

What a fantastic experience. Communication was great, staff were friendly and informative, and it is clear this is an operation that cares first and foremost about their animals. I did not expect this to be such an engaging experience but I will not soon forget it. To top it all off, they served fantastic cake and hot drinks (its really all about the hot coco) after that everyone appreciated.

Amazing experience. The team is very friendly as are all the dogs- we were very happy that we could vidder them after our trip.
The trip was also amazing. I rent with my son and we took it in turns to drive the sled.

This adventure was the highlight of my two-week trip around Scandinavia. Dog-sledding was a bucket-list item for me and this experience certainly did not disappoint! Each pair of participants had their own sled with six huskies to drive. Plenty of stops were made in order to change drivers so everyone had a chance to drive. The route was quite long, at least an hour, through spectacular scenery of mountains, water and fjords. Before and after the trip we were given time to meet and cuddle some of the dogs. After the ride we had cake and warm drinks while the owner told us all about the dogs and sledding and answered many questions. There was even a puppy house full of tiny pups, unfortunately too young to be handled by strangers but we had time to watch and take photos of them.

The staff was amazing, they answered all our questions, it was so much fun visiting with all the dogs and learning about the history of the dogs and business. Laura was our guide and she was so amazing. Thank you Laura for a great experience.
