Stop At: Lake Como, Lake Como, Lombardy
The best way to experience Lake Como is by boat. A relaxing private boat will allow you to view this tranquil landscape from the water. As you float by, your guide will point out famous villas used as locations for Star Wars and James Bond movies along with the homes of international stars like George Clooney. You’ll also have plenty of time to take pictures or just take in the view with a refreshment from the onboard restaurant.
Arriving back in Milan in time for dinner, you won’t believe you managed to see so much in one day, and without ever feeling rushed.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Bellagio, Bellagio, Lake Como, Lombardy
You’ll visit the stunning town of Bellagio, often called “the pearl of Lake Como”. Your guide can offer recommendations, but it’s up to you whether to go shopping, sample the local food or simply soak up the charming atmosphere.

Stop At: Lugano, Lugano, Canton of Ticino, Swiss Alps
Nestled at the foot of the Alps you’ll find Lugano, another lakeshore town. Also called “the Monte Carlo of Switzerland”, this Italian-speaking Swiss town is a playground for celebrities, athletes and entertainers, boasting luxury shopping and fine art, scenic views and a bustling city center. Visit the church of Santa Maria degli Angioli, where Bernardino Luini painted ‘Passion and Crucifixion’, regarded as Switzerland’s most significant Renaissance fresco. Head downtown to browse luxury goods and rich Swiss chocolate. Whatever you’re looking for, Lugano has something for you.

The places themselves were nice to see but this is not a tour this is simple transportation from one place to the next. The group was way too big and the tour guide didn’t provide us with any information. She sometimes pointed out a church or a building but nothing like tours I have been on before. More time in Lugano would have been nice as we spent a couple minutes just finding a toilet to use then making our way back to the bus. There was time in Lake Como to explore it was a simple get on a boat to get to Bellagio.

My tour was scheduled for Monday May 13 at 8.00am. I showed up, did the check- in with the girl who was coordinating the details at Stazione Garibaldi but she was not the tour guide. At 8.05am , we started asking but we haven’t left yet, note that we were a group of 35 people. She said that she was having a problem but didn’t provide details . A few minutes after , she said the tour guide had an accident and the activity is cancelled and we can reschedule or ask for a refund. She didn’t have any empathy with the group, no alternative plans despite that we were willing to continue with the plan with the bus driver or another person from the company. No options at all and she literally disappeared and left us there. I don’t recommend this company in Milan at all! I

It was the worst experience I have ever had. I turned up to the day trip and there were nearly 40 people who had booked on the trip. After 30 minutes we were told by the person meeting us that the tour guide was unavailable and the trip was cancelled. There was no effort by the company to get another tour guide in Milan! This was the only day that I could visit Lake Como. There were others who are flying out of Milan the next day and will not get to experience Lake Como. I can not believe that such a big company could not find someone to take the tour. Such companies do not appreciate that all of us spend 1-3 days in each city and have booked certain tours on specific days which is not flexible. When I contacted Viator, they just forwarded my call to the tour operator and not sorted it. The tour company assured me that they will refund my payment in 2 weeks time. I would not recommend this day trip.

Avoid City Wonders - they are a terrible tour provider. We booked the Lake Como tour for May 13th, 2024 with them. We were at the meeting point 30 min ahead and no one was there. The tour operators rep came at 10 mins before 8 am and half heartedly checked people in. Then she kept chatting away with her friend and did not inform us that the tour was going to get cancelled due to the tour guide being absent. On pushing her, she finally revealed the bad news and said she cannot do anything about it. We all pleaded that we really need the tour and they should find a substitute guide - but this company did not care and cancelled the tour and left 50 people hanging.

It was canceled after we spent money and time getting to meeting point. Ruined the day. No explanation given. There were more than 50 people waiting for the bus. Feel sorry for the lady that was going to guide the tour. It seemed like her office wasn't answering her calls.

Avoid this company.
Booked a day trip to Lake Como from Milan. Arrived at meeting point and checked in. We were then advised by the Check in rep that the tour guide had been delayed and the whole trip was cancelled. We were advised to contact Customer Services for a refund. The Check in rep was advised that she was missing the point and phoned her manager but to no avail. In the end she just put on her crash helmet, got on her bike and left 35 customers standing there.
Words cannot convey how bad and useless this company is.

The itinerary was great and we spent just the right amount of time at each stop. The boat ride around Lake Como was beautiful. I don’t give the experience a 5 because our tour guide was kind of lackluster and had an awful cough that was made worse for the attendees because she coughed into the microphone, therefore, blasting our ears. She was nice enough but wasn’t really engaging and just kind of ‘blah.’
