I hate to ever give a business a low rating however, I have to warn whoever takes a chance on this horseback riding experience. The “intro” before getting on the horses was minimal. I would not suggest this experience for children or inexperienced riders. If you happen to get the horse “Maple” you better be an experienced rider. The staff told our group she didn’t like being near other horses. She bit any horse that was in front of her and caused distress for all riders involved because they would start to kick and quarrel. She was untrained and skidding. Again, this horse should be reserved for very experienced riders and ALWAYS should be in the back of the pack. The rider on maple could not enjoy their riding experience as they constantly had to tend to Maple and keep her away from other horses, keep her from constantly eating, and on the path. We get these are animals and they have a mind of their own. But only highly disciplined horses should be on these trails. The staff were extremely unhelpful when Maple would get agitated and acted as if the expressed concerns were a huge bother to them. The rider on Maple was genuinely scared and zero guidance or comfort was provided. This rider has rode horses before but never dealt with a horse that bullied other horses. If you ride Cub, be warned that he “does not like mud.” A lot of the trail was mud. The rider on Cub ended up on trees and bushes on multiple occasions. So again, an experienced rider should be on this horse. Our other two riders in our group were very experienced and enjoyed the trail ride. I genuinely think this trail ride should be for semi experienced riders as the staff were not helpful with any questions or guidance. Our total group was around 18 people and it was far too large. If you were in the back you could not hear much from the guide. However after speaking with people from the front of the tour group there wasn’t much too hear anyways. I would suggest finding a riding tour that has better staff customer service, well trained horses for beginners, and a better trail.

Pack your patience if you are an experienced rider. They talk to you like you are a kid and it’s as basic (boring) as it gets. Very little facts about the area
